Life isn't right and it isn't fair. Some of us start from much further back than others and have to fight 100x as hard or the things we want. To some others those things are given with no effort.
I've heard a lot of people in life say they were rejected. I've never heard the story of a successful person who said they were rejected and just gave up and became a success due to that.
The creator of Harry Potter a franchise worth over $25 billion today had that manuscript rejected 12 times before a publisher agreed to publish it. After any of those rejections she could have said "You know what I tried, this isn't good enough, I'm just gonna pack it up and do something else." Had she done that a multi-billion dollar franchise wouldn't exist. Had she done that it would have been her choice to do so. It wouldn't have been forced on her by the publishers.
J.K. Rowling's original synopsis of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" is on display at the British Library. The synopsis was typed by Rowling in 1995 "to accompany the opening chapters and circulated among prospective publishers," according to a plaque that accompanies the synopsis.

Those 12 publishers that rejected it was that a foolish decision? They had a $20+ billion franchise in the making fall right into their lap and they said no. Couldn't recognize it's value. I bet if they had a do over all would say yes.
