Depends on what you like. The Grados are warm and airy, with subdued bass ($750), and the Sennheisers are colder, with pronounced bass ($1000). I personally like the Sennheisers better, as I like bass heavy genres, like hip-hop and metal. But if I’m going jazz or classical, the Grados are better. The V-modas ($350) are not reference like the other ones, and have much more bass, but it’s a bit muddy. The Ziks ($350) are sound canceling and use a ton of digital processing, so they’re good, when listening to low quality sources, or when I’m in a crowded place. They cover up low quality shyt, while the others don’t (given that they’re “reference”).
The airpods are good at work, as they don't leak sound. And the Shures are good at the gym.
BTW, if you get any of the expensive headphones, or reference ones, you NEED a dac/amp

2018 revamp is on the way, moreso just wall decorations, personalize it a bit more. Soliciting advice on game shelving too. I think I have a solid setup but I'm definitely asking fellow gamers for suggestions too. I think a better sound system might be done too. New television doesn't happen until current television stops working. That's my only mandate.

I’d get better shelving. I think walnut or black bookshelves would fit your color scheme well. Also, if possible, I’d get a bigger desk (but that might not be possible, given space availability). A nice mounted 7.1 setup would suit you well. Also, if you’re going all out with a sound system, I’d recommend putting up some sound dampening material on your walls and ceiling (it seems extreme, but my mom’s husband did that shyt, and it’s like2018 revamp is on the way, moreso just wall decorations, personalize it a bit more. AirPods and Red Dragonfly DAC/Amp are very essential for me. I've heard good things about the Sennheiser HD800s too.
I went a bit Apple crazy this weekend. This no drinking thing is freeing up a nice chunk of disposable income

I been using the X these past 2 weeks and I'm itching to back to the Note.

I bought my A50s back in 2012. I swear to you breh, they are one of the best purchases I've ever made as far as value. 6 years of consistent usage and they are still going strong. Enjoy.
I have some wack ass Turtle Beach Stealth 700's that I was using before them and when you compare the two shyt ain't even close.
The Astro's sound quality is 1000000x better, the build quality and comfort is 100000x better and the battery life is alot better. I'm about to throw the Turtle Beach on Offer Up and see what I can get for em.
Also, for PS4 I just got the Sony Platinum Headset and it sounds pretty damn good too. Not as good as the Astro's but they still sound really good.
