a few points:
first of all, ponder is a p*ssy, a wuss. he didn't have elbow bursitis or any structural damage or even anything wrong with his elbow. his elbow was perfectly fine.
the fukker had a contusion on his triceps - he had a deep bruise on his arm.
are you fukking kidding me?
secondly, how about the severe mismanagement of the qb position. we have 2 developmental qb's (webb, mbt) backing up, in all actuality, a developmental qb (ponder). in no way shape or form can a front office make a mistake in judgment this badly.
honestly, as wack as sage rosenfels was, he's probably better than ponder and at the the very least a serviceable backup. they shouldn't have cut him and i know why they did it... to not cause controversy and not to fukk with ponder's fragile confidence.
so the front office knows that ponder will have some struggles as with any other young qb. so do we help him by having receivers to throw to? no, not at all. severe mistake number 2. brehs, our receiving corp is shameful.
instead of signing a legitimate receiver to go with harvin, we sign another TE (carlson) for 25 mil. how did that work out for the team? nice calculation on that one spielman.
finally, as we head into the next season, we are left with one qb and one receiver. wright has potential, but right now he's a
#3 . jenkins is a
#3 at best. we have a bunch of threes and harvin isn't a true
#1 (outside guy).
which brings me to harvin. rumors are around here that harvin will not be with the team next year. they say that there is a lot more to harvin being put on IR than the injury itself. a lot of the ex-vikes on the radio are saying he won't be coming back. (mike morris, pete bercich, ben leber all said this).
we had a good season and it was fun watching AD. but i couldn't fully enjoy it, because of the ponder question. does he have what it takes or not? are we going to go through this again next year? the veterans aren't getting any younger.
anyway, hopefully we can have another good draft this year and are able to bring in quality free agents.
Peace
