Winfield says he'll play Saturday if the Swelling in his hand subsides... That is great news... When he was in on Sunday they held Gb to 10 points in the 1st half... Then he got hurt and GB scored 24 points in the 2nd half....
This is also huge because if Winfield plays it basically leads to a domino effect on our CB's. If he plays he handles the nickel/slot coverage on Jennings, Robinson is able to take the outside spot for Jefferson who got lit up, and then we have Cook on the other outside receiver who Rodgers didn't even fukk with on Sunday... If Winfield is hurt then Sherels takes the nickel, Josh Robinson stands on the sideline because he hasn't practiced at the nickel, and Jefferson gets worked by Jordy Nelson... We NEED WInfield to play...
Sherels CAN NOT see the field Saturday if we want a chance...

I would love to see the Vikes knock Green Bay off. I think they are totally intimidated by AD. He is in their heads..

I think they'll bring in a Vet to mentor/challenge him.... That Green Bay game was "career defining" for Ponder in my opinion... If he sucked it up and the season ended... He would be done.... The Fact that he won and played his best game of the season says a lot about him and the coaching staff... This game was the difference between him developing into a Brad Johnson/Alex Smith type, His ceiling.... Or Throwing himself to the bench and out of the league.... I think he grabbed his nutsack and realized what was on the line... He'll be the starter next year, and if we can get a decent outside threat(Greg Jennings, Bowe, Mike Wallace) and a health Percy, we will REALLY see what this kid can do....

Viking brehs regardless what happens on saturday let us take a moment and bask in the glory of Purple Jesus and thank him for being the pride of Viking fans everywhere. I said it before and I'll say it again experts had us at 2-14/3-13 and I knew we were not THAT bad I thought 8-8 finish would be respectable in regards to where we were last year but thats why they play the game cause he we are in the playoffs where
Im sorry I know we all in a good mood but I am still not sold on Christian Ponder granted you picked a great time to play his best game but Im still raw about those games earlier in the season where he threw for under 100 yards I dont think professional quarterbacks should EVER have a game under 100 yards just seems ridiculous but I aint going to go hard today today aint about that. This is about looking forward to a great game this weekend.I would love nothing more than to send the Green Bay Packers home for their summer vakay

AD opened up a lot of things for Ponder in late stretch of the season that he was able to capitalize on (esp GB/Houston games). Really that is all he needed to do to save his job, but does that make him a franchize QB or is this mark sanchez-esque during the Jets AFC title runs. IDK, I'm not sold on him either but he definitely stays for now
That Final AD run of the game still has me like 
I yelled OH MY GOD when he broke through that line... I thought he was gonna cut outside and hit the sideline, then he cut inside and gained 10 more yards
.... Man I am pumped for this playoff game.... After this year, AD probably has 1 more chance at a ring before he hits the NFL RB wall... We gotta make the most of every year...

Like i said,i didnt mind AD getting that record but Fraizer fukked up by not feeding him some more after being in FG range and having time outs. Now i have no reason to cheer for anybody or anything Vikings related. Not getting that #2 seed kind of helps because Vikings is the best opponent we can play against in Lambeau and then the road to the superbowl gets warmer weather wise. But i swear if we come out flat,then people need to be fired next year. We watching potentially one of the GOAT QB's rotting away behind a shytty line and an inconsistent coach.

imo, spielman has to bring a veteran qb to help ponder learn the subtleties of being qb and to be legitimate competition. they also need to draft a qb to be a true backup or potential starter and they need to decide between webb and mbt.
You think he is rotting away though? He has atleast 7 more high level seasons left, not to mention He has a ring already too

i think Jared Allen has a big game on Saturday damn i forgot how great it feels when your team is in the playoffs regardless how it goes Saturday cant get here soon enough!!!
Regardless what happens, its been a fun season brehs.
We got to watch a Running Back have the best season ever in a 10 week span. It's crazy he carried us this far. He is our KG though, if we can't get him a title here, we owe it to him to give him a chance. It's gonna be hard to win on the road but I like our chances against a divisional opponent as opposed to a San Fran in the first round.
