Good lookin out posting the schedule breh. Between training camp updates and the Olympics I'm gonna be :eat: these next few weeks.

I'm exctied to see what Josh Robinson can do. Chris Cook has a ton of potential so hopefully this is his year. It'd be nice to see a bad ass DB emerge for the team. Haven't really had a great guy back there since Sharper.

We have no reason to be excited about playoff berths or any of that stuff but I'm hype for this season. It's like a storm wiped us out so now it's time to pick up the pieces, take some bumps in the road and do our shyt.

well, hopefully Gerhart can hold it down until AD is 100 percent - supposedly he has put on some muscle and is in better shape and more prepared this season, just in case AD isn't ready by week one...

in regard to our defensive backfield, i think we'll be much better this year. winfield is healthy; we have cook back; harrison smith from ND; robinson and a few of the other returning young backs should help this team move in the right direction.

i think our offensive line will be improved with the addition of Kalil and the readjustment of the line - moving johnson from LT back to his natural position at guard.

i think our receivers have improved from last year as well, with the additions of jarius wright and greg childs from arkansas...

i'm concerned about losing kleinsasser to retirement and how that will affect our running game. i'll be happy if our draft pick rhett ellison the TE from USC can come in and play solid right away.

outside of the QB position, the LB position is a major area of concern for me, especially at MLB.

Ponder will have to step it up and prove that he was the right pick. he'll be better acquainted with the playbook this time around and will be more familiar with his teammates, so that should be of considerable help.

i'm not saying we're going to be a playoff team or serious contenders, but i wouldn't be shocked if we surprised a couple teams along the way - you never know until you play the games, so we'll see.

I think linebacker is the biggest area of concern this year. At other positions, we have guys that could be boom or bust, but we at LEAST have guys there. I think our front office had a hell of a draft this year, but unfortunately you can't fill every position every off season. So I think the LB corps will suffer.

I'm excited to see what the kids out of Arkansas can do. We need wideouts so hopefully Wright can be the speedy Wes Welker/Harvin type and a return man, while Childs can hopefully be an outside threat. He was a top prospect before getting hurt in college, so if he can return to form that's a steal. I'm also excited to see if Jerome Simpson can give the team a shot in the arm.

I'm going to be patient with Ponder but hopefully he shows some development. A lot of his mistakes last year were bonehead, rookie mistakes, so hopefully a full offseason gives him a chance to settle down and become familiar with his targets.

Hell of a preseason game against the Bills. I liked what I saw out of Ponder. Dude was efficient in making his reads and being comfortable in the pocket.

Jerome Simpson made some good catches and is a breath of fresh air. We haven't had anyone other than Percy to get open consistently over the past couple of years.

Harrison Smith and Mistral Raymond both looked great at the Safety position. Smith has a nose for the ball and Raymond is playing like a guy whose career depends on it. Looks like Smith will be the starter going into the season and Raymond may have the inside track at the other slot.

Loved what I saw out of Josh Robinson. He ran a freakish 40 at the combine and showed that he can use that speed to close in and break up passes. My favorite play was the one where he played the Cover 2 perfectly, breaking off of the receiver in the flats to drop back and break up a pass. What I loved even more is that Harrison cleaned it up by putting some contact on the receiver just in case. Robinson could have picked it off but it was great seeing both rookies making the right read and getting to the ball quickly. Robinson played against the Bills starting O for some time so I'm really excited about the possibilities of the future.
