Hold on, you're combating this grade A ether NIP is giving you with an appeal to metacritic? is this a joke? is this still hip hop? have you checked out some of the review sources they use? ill use the Wale joint as an example because you brought his vastly superior album into the mix. Wale's joint got really positive reviews from Hip Hop sources (your XXL's, Hip HopDX and Rap Reviews and the like) and the people on here and other hip hop sites. Make a thread on here comparing the Gifted and HoF and see what type of responses you get btw. Look at the list of reviewers that crushed The Gifted though, that shyt reads like a list of magazines that no hip hop head in the country would read (Exclaim, Now Magazine, Absolute Punk). No one gives two fukks about them shyts in our diaspora my man. Stop with that shyt my dude.

What you should do is take this L man and just say that you still believe in the homies talent and viability going forward and let that nikka work and rebound himself. If he's what you think he is then he'll figure this shyt out. It's what I was telling dudes about Wale after Attention Deficit. Dudes was shytting on him left and right and I just told them that homes has the talent to be successful. I fell back though, lived my life and shyt and waited for him to make a believer out of people, and didnt waste my time trying to convince anybody of anything. Let Sean do that good brother.

I'm not trashing youngins album either, I'm just saying that the metacritic shyt is worthless and you have to admit that his numbers are disappointing. It's not the end of the world for homes, but he has some work to do. IMO he's still definitely a salvageable artist and one that has the potential to develop into a top young mainstream dude, but he needs to work to connect with the people out here and get on the track of dropping quality music consistently. People scoff at MMGs methodology, but one of the things their business model does is get people into the habit of expecting quality music from them. You know when Ross or Wale or Meek drop it's probably a quality project. People are used to checking for them, they're used to quality music consistently from them and they're much more engaged with them between projects because they know that they'll get a random release from them here or there and because they're actively following them with the expectation of joint releases or random freestyles or random vlogs and track drops etc.,they're much more invested in their work.

Part of the issue is that nikka Kanye not really holding his squad down, but In light of that, Sean gotta work double time to make sure he connects with his audience and make them emotionally invested in his success. Nothing you can do on that front, that shyts on him bro.
