Nah I don't consider myself a "conservative" or really feel any attachment to the GOP, I think their heightened rhetoric in terms of free market economics usually doesn't come through in their policies anyway which is something that has been pointed out by many free market leaning economist over the years. I'm pretty sure there are posters who have different opinions on finance,law,history, and economics than most people here but they probably feel like they will be lumped into boxes or have to defend their unpopular stances accompanied by unnecessary hostile/condescending reactions. Unfortunately it is much easier to discuss, get amped, and choose sides in discussions that revolve around mainstream liberal vs. conservative issues than it is discussing issues where there is alot of grey area.

At the same time Conservatives tend to hold that the tried is true and attempt to maintain a consistent heading. Stability is a necessary quality for a society even if everything is not perfect.

When considered both seem necessary to maintain a society, which would die without progress or explode into anarchy if subject to every idealistic whim. The key is open discussion and debate, a public platform where the issues can be discussed in depth. In this I find one side in Washington currently failing as they adhere to dogma and thrive on contention rather than collaboration. On a Hip hop board, who cares.

I see the underlying issue here - the Brooklyn twins mandate have you in a bit of a pickle. You're every bit of an arrogant dikk as VVD. The problem is that that clashes with your desire to increase participation in HL by promoting civility which in turn makes you look like a hypocrite.

First off, my initial posts were probably a good 10 sentences, you responded with about 3 paragraphs off jump. Second, I just ignored you...that's not "debating unfairly" that's refusing to debate with you at all. That has nothing to do with my critique. Third, you said that I was being factually inaccurate, while responding to a post where I talked about the telecommunications act. So I said, tell me where this isn't factual?
