You can see that he is coasting in the ring right now but with booking like this, why would he bother. Vince has made up his mind about him and so have the fans. It's the unstoppable force versus the immovable object and Roman is stuck inbetween.

- WWE is still working on new ways to get fans to cheer for Roman Reigns, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer said that WWE is trying to recreate the Daniel Bryanstoryline with Reigns where management is favoring Brock Lesnar and trying to screw him over, which is why he isn't champion. He noted that while fans aren't buying it, the company is still going with it.

“They’re trying to tell the story and I can’t believe it because they’ve been trying for a couple of months, but they’re still trying to tell the story that [Roman Reigns] is Daniel Bryan and management is screwing him over and that’s why he’s not the champion. But nobody buys it. They’re trying to figure out a way to get people to cheer him. We’re supposed to think that all these things that happened — the whole thing that they favor Brock Lesnar but it didn’t work. Thats not completely true.

If Cena, Reigns, Brock, AJ, or ETC top level guy was to leave the E. They could go anywhere in the world and their brand is in tact and every company will throw their entire bank at them to sign them for a match or contract.

But if say Kurt Hawkins was to leave the E..... he'd have to beg for a job at Impact and not even NJPW, ROH, or LU/AAA would sign him. He'd have to do some hardcore rebranding and work on the lower indies for the lowest dime and build his way up to hopefully a lower midcard sport on a 3rd tier indie fed.

James Gibson was used with a lot more care and respect than KH.

He had angles with Nivia that got reactions and time and he actually was a champ.

They didn’t do shyt like not have him on tv for months then when he was, he’d be in the ring back from a commercial break waiting to get squashed by Test, Nathan Jones, or Big Show

i definitely think he cared at first.

When the Royal Rumble fiasco happened, I remember people talking about how hurt he was about it.

I think that now we're what, 3 or 4 years past it, he's probably used to it.

But I will say that you're crazy if you think that money alone eases guys egos.

I mean, look at how sensitive guys like LeBron James and Kevin Durant are when fans boo them and they're making 10x what Roman is.

Nobody wants to be thought of as trash in their sport/entertainment careers.

Look at how sensitive rappers are when you criticize them, so that whole "Well, he's making money, so he doesn't care" thing doesn't fly because rich people have even more sensitive egos than the rest of us. They wanna be loved and be on social media/The Coli making fake accounts to argue with fans.

Plus, you have to take into account that his entire family is in this business and his cousin is considered one of the greatest who ever did it. That has to hurt knowing that the same people who love your cousin hate your guts.

Also, remember his family was about to legit riot after Seth Rollins beat him at Wrestlemania 31 because they thought he was going over. His father was going ham about that shyt, so he was definitely raised to care about this.

Y’all can’t accept that not everyone wants to scramble their brains and crush their neck into goddamn sand for the love of wrestling like DB because wrestling isn’t fukking life or death for the smart ones. There are realistically more important things.

And yet those "neckbeard" fans love Braun Stroman and Rusev, who both seem live affable, nice guys who don't mark for themselves.

Sometimes the fans just like who they like and don't like who they don't like.
