clearly what they were trying to be but the swag wasnt there. wasnt ''a movement''
False. Coke Boyz was absolutely a movement and any kid that lived in NY in this time period can vouch for it.

What you mean the swag wasn't there? Coke Boyz had they own swag and lingo respective to the times.

prolly meant, the way people resonated with them.

Dipset were filled with charismatic characters that people liked as well as the music. solo as well as a group.
even b and c-teamers..off shoot groups, dudes that did't even rap like Brasi, Snagz etc people knew of.

Coke Boyz not so much.

what fashion and lingo r they credited w/?
dipset transcended ny, breh. cam, juelz, and jim were each stars individually--w/ great albums. im willing to bet most rap fans couldnt even tell u who was in coke boyz outside of french and chinx. i think part of your problem is u dont hav a good grasp of how music is received outside of ny, as evidenced by your fabolous posts.

I’m confident that OP is only concerned about nyc breh. Everyone knows coke boys weren’t popular outside the tri state

I addressed fashion, lingo, street impact in the OP.

The thread is could not that they were. Max got locked up and would have been part of this movement, there was fall-outs, deaths, incarcerations, and French started pushing his solo career more. I'm not saying their movement equaled Dipset, I'm saying their movement was big in NY culturally and in ways reminiscent. Y'all acting like I'm dissing the Dips.

And nah y'all nikkas like to act like Fab is an irrelevant :flabbynsick: act.

CT been the stronghold since day 1, after that NY, then NJ and Boston, MA.
But French got fans in Miami, Atlanta and all over the place, UK, Spain, France, North Africa.

Dipset had the Northeast all the way down The I-95 & Midwest

Coke Boyz was sort of local

In 2020 I think its clear to see that the ASAP Mob argument rang true :manny: . Those are the guys the young nikkas are clearly following

The Rocky's the Carti's the Uzi's of the world are who the youth rock with. Def not no French fukking montana :heh:

And I rock with French more than Rocky musically EASILY

Depends the year you talking

Me and the homies were bumping coke wave heavy that 09 time period and when my younger Bro and his age range wgot a lil older and they was fukking with Coke Boyz at they peak.

They street orientated though like me ..they weren’t bumping no Asap Mob .. I was probably bumping more ASAP Mob then they ever did ... it is what it is

As for the youths today it’s depending the age .. it’s NBA Youngboy who got the juice but even that’s iffy Kodak would’ve been the true 1.
