I mean, I like Chief Keef's music better than Lupe's, yeah I said it, but in this matter, Lupe seems sincere and has the balls to speak his mind in the midst of a genre with macho overload where people are just itching to get at you.

I personally give him credit for that. Even if it is dramatic. Some people are just super sensitive in my experience, and this is something that hits home for him.

Said this in the "Keef said he'll smack Lupe thread" and I'll say it here:

I'm not that big a fan of Lupe, but I can't disagree with what he told Keef...but on the flip side, Lupe needs to man-up and learn how to handle criticism and stop bytching about everyone that disagrees with him and push forward...at the very least provide some counter arguments to the critics (Like that dude that wrote that article criticising B*** bad)

If he folds over something like this, then it's whatever, guess he wasn't full of that much conviction anyway.

I can't argue that Lupe isn't genuine, but at the same time he should very well know that there will be people trying to bring him down. Just look at any kind of major major figure that tried to go against the grain, they all had opposition. Why would Lupe think that he's any different?

If anything, it's in the face of opposition that Lupe should prove that he is indeed genuine and fight back (Not physically of course). I think that the way that he handled the article that criticised his song was bad. Instead of trying to get everyone to boycott the magazine he could've challenged the dude on an intellectual level.

If Lupe really folds because he's getting opposition (And he's not even getting overwhelming opposition, like people taking attempts at his life to shut him up, or people protesting against his cause or whatever), then he really is a hoe ass nikka. If he's really genuine, and really wants to help then he needs to push forward.

Just think about how far we wouldn't have gotten if other people that stood up for something in the past backed down because some people were like "I ain't feelin' you dawg".
