Why is DJ Mustard popular?

Why is Mike Will Made It popular?

^^^ The answer to those is the answer to the question posed in the OP.

this why^^^ dude birthed so many hits.

also dude before fame was a real dude. And now he putting his cash to work with multiple charities. Any other facts u wanna argue with???

That's what's always kinda blown my mind though.

I'm sure he's a great dude. That's actually really cool about the charities. I didn't know that.

I've always been surprised THAT he's been able to birth so many hits. You have people on forums and in discussions generally put people in 3 boxes. 1. Overrated,
2. Underrated
3. Universally accepted. Examples of that would be for rappers Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, 2Pac, Rakim. For producers you could say like Dr. Dre, DJ Premier, Pete Rock, RZA.

A lot of the discussion on this forum are about people in 1 and 2 categories, then troll/stupid posts like "Illmatic is garbage", etc. Like yes you have Pac or Nas stans and Biggie or Jay stans, but at the end of the day everybody understands that're all are talented and understand why they're considered legends.

Swizz Beats is someone that I always seem to see everyone say he's not that good. Not even bad. Just really forgettable and average. Take all the Ruff Ryders music. A lot of that shyt sounds awful now. A lot of those Casio beats were pretty bad. He just used the pre-set sounds that came from the keyboards and just looped them. Didn't he get sued? I remember someone bought a Triton and the horn module was the Ruff Ryders Anthem note for note, same beats per minute, everything.

I know he's changed up his style, and he's definitely better now. Like I'll say that that Murder To Excellence beat on Watch The Throne was fire. I liked that a lot.

But did anyone really think this beat was dope? Forget Jay's rapping. Is there anyone that wouldn't want to hear Just Blaze or Madlib to have made the final cut of Watch The Throne over this beat?

If anyone tried to come in and play this beat for Jay and Kanye and they didn't have Swizz's name attached to it, they'd be laughed out of the studio.

I'm willing to say he's got dope shyt. He has some bangers. I wrote a lot just say I think he's a little overrated.
