This was dope. It wasn’t too over-the-top but still had intense moments. The main actress is too. She’s in The Babysitter on Netflix as well which also is good.
Movie was fun but nothing special. It felt like it could have actually made some waves if they played it more seriously, the occasional comedy mostly distracted from some serious suspense moments and it never takes that extra step to become a full horror comedy either.
The movie ends up being carried by Samara Weaving who genuinely earns the title "scream queen" here and clearly has a bright future ahead.
