I remember people being really pissed off at this song, especially since "What More Can I Say" leaked at the same time.

While I understood how it hit people wrong, I never disliked the record...same shyt for "show me what you got" I'll jam that shyt right now. But yea it was a new era, nikkas was so deep into other sounds and jay was really coming back into the game outside of his time period kinda feeling his way around. I don't know man i like to sit back with songs and albums in the cut and really pay attention to the motiviations, seemed like a lot of nikkas threw it in the bushes just because it was on the more "sunshine" side of things.

It's ok. I really didn't like it when it came out. "La La La La" and "Frontin'" came out the same year and were much better Jay Z/Neptunes collabos IMO.

We never had an annual 'Blueprint 2' was a ridiculous album thread either....As much as I am a fan of that album, it has some awful, cringeworthy, hilarious moments.....

As far as 'Change Clothes', 'Frontin' was a much better song.....I would have preferred some version of that to 'Change Clothes', and yeah, Jay's adlibs were getting awkward around this point, from 'BP2' on....

'Frontin' had a laid back beat, and that all around smooth sound, it was authentic, 'Change Clothes' was too much, all at once...

Bonnie and Clyde is decent imo. Dope beat, Jay with a smooth flow as usual, chorus is solid (although Pac obviously did it better), lyrics are fine for what the song is about. Although I don't care for Beyonce in the 3rd verse, but she looks damn fine in the video.

But yea I fukking hated Change Clothes, and it seemed like it was on TV all the time.

Bonnie and Clyde is horrible. That is one of thing most can agree on. A tragedy of a song.
