@ the thought of Rock.. arguably the greatest of all time not belonging in the ring with Punk, what the fukk has he done besides bytch and moan? It's amazing how over the last year and a half since the "pipe bomb promo" Punk is now looked at by some like he's an untouchable great and is somehow above everything

I remember how he was treated like a mid carder in his first reign as World Champ and played second fiddle on Raw behind Michaels/Jericho. What did Rock do when he was in a similar situation in late 99' when they tried to put HHH/Austin above the rest and throw him in the tag-team divison? Nothing but get the loudest pops of the night every week and continue to be the most entertaining thing on the entire show... True greatness always prevails :rockylaugh:

Remember when they tried to go with Cripple H and Austin for Summerslam and even for No Mercy? The Rock was playing chess with those nyggas..he would do promos and do the whole "shut your mouth and listen as they chant the Rock's name"..then the ROMAN Coliseum level Rocky chants would take over and then it would to a standing ovation before he could say another word. LOL. Buried the shyt out of the Bulldog and Billy Gunn and got a standing ovations every week. They put him in the "Rock and Sock Connection" and that segment did the highest rating in Raw history. It didn't look right for a guy that had that many signs and getting those kind of pops and worship chants not to be running the show..so they had to figure him into the Unforgiven/No Mercy/Survivor Series main event. No stop and go push shyt for him. Icon status

Hand picked but he isn't driving that business up. He hasn't led to change. He hasn't proven greatness. He was on FIRE during that Jeff Hardy feud and the initial stuff after MITB in 2011 was great. But then he allowed Nash and Cripple H to bury him and got pushed behind a hated John Cena for months on end as WWE Champion. Handpicked or not, Austin wouldn't tolerate that. Bret wouldn't. Rock was so great in 2001 that he came back after 4 months and pushed Austin and his WWE title match out of the main event of Summerslam for a WCW title match against Booker.

1. The Uso's defeated the Prime Time Players. The Uso's won with a double superkick and a Superfly Splash.

Michael Cole no longer uses Kerwin White's old theme. He comes out to more of a contemporary rock sound now

WWE Main Event

Wade Barrett introduced a clip to Dead Man Down.

1. Randy Orton beat Wade Barrett. Orton won with an RKO in a solid 10-12 minute match. The crowd was white hot for Orton.

2. Cody Rhodes beat Zack Ryder. Rhodes won a short match with CrossRhodes.

They are advertising that Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman will answer Triple H's challenge Monday on Raw.

3. Sin Cara beat U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro in a non title match. Sin Cara won with a Frankensteiner. A really good match with some exciting spots. Cesaro's thigh wraps are back. This concluded the Main Event taping.

Maybe, but nothing matches the disgust Punk displayed throughout that Rock feud. Always had that "this scrub shouldn't be in the ring with me" expression going. Genuine dislike right there.

But with Cm Punk's character he is and should have been displaying those levels of disgust. When your putting yourself on the same pedstal of god, no one, including "The great one", is on your level. I thought he displayed that emotion great and they shoulda had him do EVEN more stuff to the rock.
