Looking back on last night why did they waste a Dusty Rhodes appreances only for him to be clubbered by plunder from Swagger? I was expecting a 20 minute promo from Dusty telling Swagger he never went through "HARD TIMES!" and that what makes a truly american. I was also expecting Slaughter to make some comments about Rock's upcoming G.I.Joe movie and tell stories about how he used to thow the Cobra Commander and Destro around like bytches on the 80's cartoon. Other than Honky Tonk shake-rattling on Chief Heath what was the point of old school Raw?

I thought Dusty was gonna come back and set up Goldust vs. Cody Rhodes at Mania, they didn't even interact. Cody wasn't even on the show.



I like that Dusty and Swagger idea though, the problem is Dusty would have been right and Swagger/Zeb wouldn't have anything to say against him. They like hard working Americans they just don't like illegals taking jobs from them. Some writer could have still came up with something interesting for that combination though.

@ the thought of Rock.. arguably the greatest of all time not belonging in the ring with Punk, what the fukk has he done besides bytch and moan? It's amazing how over the last year and a half since the "pipe bomb promo" Punk is now looked at by some like he's an untouchable great and is somehow above everything

I remember how he was treated like a mid carder in his first reign as World Champ and played second fiddle on Raw behind Michaels/Jericho. What did Rock do when he was in a similar situation in late 99' when they tried to put HHH/Austin above the rest and throw him in the tag-team divison? Nothing but get the loudest pops of the night every week and continue to be the most entertaining thing on the entire show... True greatness always prevails :rockylaugh:

Regarding the placement of Rock on the show, he didn't have to leave early. They put him there because they figured Rock is on regularly now and HHH's return and challenge to Brock would be the biggest thing on the show besides Undertaker's return, which was scheduled for the open and close of the show. They forgot to tell the fans that HHH's segment was the most important, apparently.
