Bruce Prichard, arguably the hottest/most entertaining person in wrestling right now, was relegated to a group vignette and a few lines. Brother Love wasn't even really a staple of RAW. So they clearly brought him back due to his new found fame, but didn't let him be himself.

:russ:

This is what happens when the marks think that a fake fighting podcaster is somehow someone with a mainstream appeal, just take one look at that fat ass and you’d know why the WWE didn’t want his ass on TV

It was bad. Cool in some areas but it still felt lazy.

RAW 1000 worked because it felt like a thought out show. And it was one venue. Also it was back when 3 hour raws literally just started out so it was fresh. The legends had good usage and dare I say they had more meaningful RAW names there. This particular DX reunion was fresh as it was the first time all members did a reunion. There was character build and long term storyline build with Rock/Cena/Punk. Of course some stars were missing but the goal is to not make it such a loss. Cant really feel the void

RAW 25 failed to do that. You felt like it wasn't planned good. You felt like some things were rehashed. Lot of people that didnt really need to be there. DX and others are stars that need to be missed in order for it to feel super special when they come together. Taker still gets a pass from most fans because of his longevity but imo the guy needs a good 3 year break away from the company to make his returns special. Austin comes every once or two years but like Rock, hes too big of a star for people not to miss.

Speaking of Rock, no reason for him to be doing a video. He got shytted on for Via satellite promos years back and yall no damn well he would have got major flack for doing a video. He got some flack but he wasnt the only one missing so it wasnt too big of a deal. Besides, RAW 1000 missed Austin so it is what it is.

Austin didn't need to talk because everyone wanted to see Triple H and his drug addict buddies reunite for the 10th time in 5 years! :hhh:

:bryan:

The fact that this is universally being panned speaks volumes as to how bad this was. People at Barclays were miserable in addition to the shytshow at Manhattan Center. It's only January, but I guarantee that this will go down as the worst RAW of the year because of the magnitude of the event and how badly WWE dropped the ball.

Think another boom period is on its way when the biggest company in the industry clearly does not give a fukk about it's fans all the while consistently putting out literal shyt week in and week out brehs

Highest Rated RAW since RAW After Mania 2015 when Seth finessed the belt :snoop:

Raw 25 Delivered WWE’s Best Ratings In Three Years

The first hour of Raw 25 was simply gargantuan, pulling in over 4.8 million viewers. The second hour (after Undertaker’s weird appearance in the Manhattan Center) went down to 4.641 million viewers, and the third hour finished with 4.147 million people watching. While the audience diminished by 656,000 during the course of the always-very-long three hours, that 4.5 million average is a solid home run for WWE.

Raw 25 was the most-watched show on cable television for Monday night, and the three hours were the top three programs on Monday for the insanely valuable 18-49 demographic. Raw 25 was an unequivocal success for WWE. We can now begin debating whether they could have utilized that bigger audience by giving more attention to the present (or the future), rather than the past.

I even booked a day off so I could stay up and watch this shyte, thought because they'd hyped it up so much that it it might actually be decent. :mjlol:

My own fault really, given their track record I should have known it would be a disaster. :francis:

from the jump....Austin didn't even get to say anything on the mic? Nothing? Really? He couldn't even say "Awwww hell yeahhhhh!!!" after he stunned Vince and Shane ????

Bruce Prichard, arguably the hottest/most entertaining person in wrestling right now, was relegated to a group vignette and a few lines. Brother Love wasn't even really a staple of RAW. So they clearly brought him back due to his new found fame, but didn't let him be himself.

Rock couldnt find 5 mins to record a message via satellite? Hell, he posts videos all day on his Instagram....he couldnt do a video himself and have WWE show it?

Batista couldn't do something similar?

Instead we got MVP, Boogeyman, Dibiase, etc?

I think that speaks to how far WWE has fallen, regardless of how much they try to make you think otherwise.

How about the taker promo?!?

The show's audience has been dwindling for like the last 5 years and people still do the "But you'll still watch!" shyt.

This was the first ep I watched in full in quite a while. i barely follow WWE these days.

Exactly. There's a difference between folks that used to watch the shyt checking for one "special" episode, vs the "See you next Monday" folks who bytch about the product but won't leave the product alone. It's no different from NBA heads bytching about the lack of aggression from the good ole days but will watch dudes flop like dying fish on the court on Wednesdays :shaq2:.

I actually recorded it (which I hardly even do anymore) just to see what would happen. The reactions here, combined with what I actually saw soured me on watching it. I watched Undertaker's promo on YouTube and I thought it was :what: to the point where I can't even figure out what he was saying.

RAW 1000 was a way better milestone show than this one. There was actual thought put into it, it advanced storylines up to the next year, and multiple generations of wrestlers were able to shine. Plus, it felt like a show that was more important because of the atmosphere. It was a show that felt like you needed to see it.

What are people going to take from this? What are they going to remember? Where did they build anticipation for the Royal Rumble? What did the company give us that makes it worth watching every week?

The road to WrestleMania hasn't even started yet and it already feels like it's going to be a long one. :beli:
