If he was truly a rebel, he would of been bringing that up as a face. That's why Austin and Rock are so great..they don't need heel or face lines to bring up slick shyt and they'll bury you or a McMahon choice on the spot to make sure their star shines. Remember in 1999 they had the Rock/Bulldogg program and the Rock did slick shyt the whole time...even though it was Austin/HHH for the title, he would get on the mic and demand his name get chanted like a god and it proved something. That this guy is not second fiddle to any damn body with reactions that blow away the entire roster.

It's not that he can't cut it as a face. I mean he obviously can since he gets more cheers and bigger pops than either Cena or Sheamus every week, his merch sells, etc. So he's a better face than they are, he's just an even better heel than he is a face.

Not true. Punk was clearly the #2 face of the company behind Cena, surpassing Orton. Bryan caught on but the reaction in their matches were always split at most in Bryan's favor. Don't gotta prop Bryan up by shytting on Punk breh.

These dudes don't live in reality and it's sad. Punk has clearly been the #1 face since he came back, consistently got the most fan support of any face vs Cena's 60/40 boos or worse, Punk shirts and signs everywhere.

Case in point: they had to bring in the Rock to swerve Punk because they had no other legit face that was over enough to turn the crown against Punk.
