:wtf: what are they doing with The Ryback? He just quits matches & is hugging Vickie for no reason. They fukked The Ryback over pretty bad when they pushed him straight to the main event.

RAW, all things considered, was pretty good. Yeah, there was stuff that was complete shyt (the Vickie evaluation segment), but I found that I didn't really remember all of that. Good matches and an excellent debut equals good RAW.

About the "Husky Harris" chants though:

1. So it's funny when the crowd completely shyts on Randy Orton and Sheamus with whatever inane chant they can think of (full disclosure: I thought it was funny too), but it's a complete and utter travesty when a crowd chants a worker's previous gimmick name at him? :what:

2. Chant "Bray Wyatt," then chant "Husky Harris." Which is easier? Especially if you actually want to show appreciation for the guy's work.

3. Why in the fukk is everybody getting worked up over something that's completely and totally unimportant? You know what's important? The fact that people reacted LOUDLY to the Wyatt Family entering the arena. That means that 75% of their job has already been done and the vignettes were a rousing success. Somebody chanting "Husky Harris" is not worth losing your minds over, because Wyatt succeeded in the more important job that he had.

Seriously, some people need to get over themselves with this "proper behavior" garbage that they want to project onto fans. Didn't we shyt on TNA for telling fans that they needed to behave in a certain way? Newsflash: Behaving properly isn't the job of the fans. They are under no obligation to act in any way to make an angle or character get over. It's the WRESTLER'S job to entice the crowd to act in a certain way, and it seems that everyone in the business, from the fans on the boards to the wrestlers themselves, have completely forgotten this little fact of performance art. Nothing more, nothing less. Complaining about this is little more than petulant.

And honestly, if a wrestler can't overcome a "WHAT" chant or someone chanting their previous gimmick name, they need to get the fukk off of the mic and find another line of work. Chants like this have been in wrestling for damn near 2 decades ("WHAT" chants for 12 years now). Are you seriously telling me that a wrestler can't find any other way to deal with a chant than bytching about it? It's pathetic, quite honestly.

I have total confidence in Bray Wyatt, but if he can't overcome a fukking "Husky Harris" chant, then he was shyt to begin with.

You can beat the WHAT chants if you're a good mic worker...if you do good promos in general, any former gimmick chant won't last. Quality always overcome the bullshyt except if you're Black in the WWE.

Wyatt family entrance was the dopest thing I've seen in years. I had no idea where they were in the arena. When dude sat down I thought he was on the steps

It's not about them overcoming it, it's the nonsense of the fans fukking up moments. It's the crowd chanting "Goldberg" at Ryback, or "Albert" at Tensai. Albeit I didn't and don't give a fukk about either of them, it's trash like this that can easily fukk up someones push because the crowd won't let certain things go. If the crowd was chanting "Ring Master" at Austin or "Flex Kavana" at the Rock it would be the same shyt that could potentially skew management's vision of what should be happening. Brock Lesnar is the only person I can think of that managed to get through that shyt and that really took a crowd that hated the Rock to do it. The crowds ARE sheep and the monkey see, monkey do shyt they do can ruin a guy - not because of their own ability, but because of how management will react to the reaction they're getting.

And :leostare: @ you acting as if the Husky chants were the crowd showing appreciation but looking for a syllabically easier way of doing so.

And this circles around to my point: it's not the fans' job to ensure that a moment happens, it's the wrestlers'. You want the crowd and management to follow something, you make them react to you in the way that you desire rather than through inane chanting and make them see that. You want "WHAT" chants to stop, don't chastise the fans, get the wrestlers to figure out how to make it stop. Honestly, if you can't turn it around in any way, I seriously doubt your skill as a promo.

It's also far too soon to panic over chanting. It was the motherfukking DEBUT SEGMENT of a guy only known as another character on TV. If you didn't think he was going to get "Husky Harris" chants, I dont't even know what to say. How long have some of these people been watching wrestling?

All I'm saying is that it's easier to chant "Husky Harris" than Bray Wyatt, that's all. Some may have legit wanted to appreciate him, but couldn't find a way to make "Bray Wyatt" into a chant. You never know. But I'm pretty damn sure that Wyatt's good enough as a promo to nip it in the bud if it happens again. You have to trust the talent sometimes.
