Rate This Singer - Female Edition - Day 22 - Sade

I thought we came to the conclusion that this isn’t a real ‘voice’ or ‘singer’ rate the way you originally intended it to be.. these mfs i ruined by nolstagia. Dustbins hear their favorite classic and think incredible singer no matter how trash they are, the same way they’ll underrate actual elite vocalist if they don’t fw their music ..i.e- Jazmine, Brandy or Beyonce.
I say you edit the OP entirely and make the rate what they’re making it out to be.

I thought about it, but after seeing the leaderboards, it doesn't make that big of a difference. I think voters will be biased regardless. I also think it helps keep things diverse and interesting. So some may vote on strictly vocals alone but others may not be that well versed in judging vocal ability so I want those voters to take artistry and other standards into consideration.

If we keeping it a stack, Sade is up there with the worse vocalists on the list. She's in that Rihanna, Mary J, Mya range. Her accent helps her sound unique like RiRi but real music heads know she nowhere near a 9 vocally. 5,6 or 7 are the only logical scores for her.

Aaliyah and Janet are much better vocalists.

Flawde being higher than Beyoncé will be a sin, Beyoncé being a 7.3 is a sin. She shouldn’t have been lower than a 8.5. She has the Career, hit songs, vocals, performance, and accolades. Y’all nikkas just can’t be objective though

I own all of Sade's albums, CLEAN HEART and WAR OF THE HEARTS are in my all time top 10, but I also like greatest hits compilations of my favorite artists as well...

SADE is a band...her voice accompanies the music they play perfectly, if you throw whitney or adele in that same band they're trash because they'd be overpowering the actual music

this is the key to what makes those songs sound so great...but Helen Adu, the lead singer of SADE, ain't about to shut down anybody's church anytime soon with her vocals.
