When Janet and Mary j were on the chopping block it was “oh they had hit songs and great careers but their vocals aren’t the best”

With Sade it’s “her vocals aren’t the best but she had a great career and songs I love” 9!

Sade is the only artist on the list so far whose sound and style cannot be mimicked. Her music is absolutely timeless. I have never in my life heard a song or singer and said "wow she/this sounds like Sade". The band is legendary. They created a sound that was really a predecessor to Neo-soul. Legendary artist.

As a vocalist realistically, she's only 6 but her artistry is what sets her apart, I gave her an extra point for that and gave her a 7. Though personally, I am a fan of her music, I can be objective. Let's talk about her band though.

If we keeping it a stack, Sade is up there with the worse vocalists on the list. She's in that Rihanna, Mary J, Mya range. Her accent helps her sound unique like RiRi but real music heads know she nowhere near a 9 vocally. 5,6 or 7 are the only logical scores for her.

Aaliyah and Janet are much better vocalists.

I thought we came to the conclusion that this isn’t a real ‘voice’ or ‘singer’ rate the way you originally intended it to be.. these mfs i ruined by nolstagia. Dustbins hear their favorite classic and think incredible singer no matter how trash they are, the same way they’ll underrate actual elite vocalist if they don’t fw their music ..i.e- Jazmine, Brandy or Beyonce.
I say you edit the OP entirely and make the rate what they’re making it out to be.

Aaliyah may be close but Janet is not a good vocalist, never was, that's why here 1st two albums flopped. She is as good as her production.
