Proud of 'T man. The school is looking to obtian "R1" status by the end of the decade which is a prestigious classification for the highest research based universities. Will be a big deal with it happens.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A university in our state has its sights on the country’s highest research classification.
What You Need To Know
- N.C. A&T is aiming for R1 status
- The R1 initiative will be in the works for the next decade
- Only 4% of U.S. universities have the status
N.C. A&T is striving to earn R1 status, which means “very high research activity.” It’s one of three classifications for doctoral-granting universities.
Dr. Salil Desai said the university is working to change that. He's been a professor at the university for 20 years.
“So, the R1 status is the highest that a university can attain in terms of the Carnegie classifications," Desai said.
Only 4% of U.S. universities hold the designation, and they are all predominantly white institutions. In the past two decades, not one of the 146 R1 schools has been an Historically Black College and University.
Desai said they have several initiatives in place to reach that goal.
“One of the primary initiatives is investing in our infrastructure, investing in our faculty, our students, really investing in newer programs which will go beyond the traditional STEM fields," Desai said.
Which he said will have a long-lasting impact.
“R1 status will actually amplify our growth and the potential which A&T has had over the last several decades, bringing to light new areas of opportunity for our students and the community," Desai said.
N.C. A&T is looking to gain R1 status by the end of the decade.
The only other public universities in the state with the status are the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and N.C State.

One of the craziest bihs I ever met went to A&T though
you were saying in the other thread every Hampton girl you ever met was crazy. Who you findin...or what you doin?
Met them all through a DC Government program basically! lol Obviously, that program was tainted! (Even though I linked with some great chicks through there too)
I'll give A&T credit, only one of those broads were crazy. ALL the Hampton broads were crazy!
I'll give a summary of them all
- NCAT chick : Veterinarian, prolly the finest chick I've messed with. Met her during a summer internship in DC (I was a Junior and she was a freshman). Actually reconnected like a decade later and that's when I started talking to her. I wrote the story on here before, but I basically found out she was engaged to a CAC the whole time I was dealing with her. Blocked her after that. As far as I know, her and the CAC never got married and she sorta disappeared.
-Hampton chick 1: Met this chick on a random ski trip I was invited on. Decent looking with a decent shape. Tried to test the waters, but didn't get anywhere. Somehow exchanged numbers though. Found out later she had a bf so I gave up. Years later, Pill Cosby stuff started coming out and apparently, a member of Omega Psi Phi showed off a Pill Cosby shirt on Twitter. I remember randomly getting like 11 text messages from her saying how all OPP brehs are evil, Bill Cosby is evil, I need to stop ole boy from having that shirt and how I'm evil because I'm a member of the same organization and etc. etc. So I call her and she's going hysterical! Found out that when she was a freshman, she was raped/had a train ran on her by the bruhs. But, now I'm extra evil because I made her "relive her trauma". Hung up and blocked ole girl on everything. As far as I know now, she got married to her bf and had 2 kids.
-Hampton chick 2: Government worker. Another real fine chick. Got introduced to her through a mutual friend that went to UAPB. She was trying to hook her friend up with several dudes at this Happy Hour social which included me. Big red flag I realized later/after. A fine chick that has trouble with men is a HUGE RED FLAG! We plan a date. Before we go on the date, this chick finds my FB account and contacted several broads I know from college, asked them about me, and then blocked them. Once one of my homegirls told me about that, I blocked her and that's basically it lol She's still single.
-Hampton chick 3: Met this chick at Club Ibiza in DC waaayyyyyyy back. Light skin Haitian-French chick. Decent shape that was a little bit top heavy. Long story short, ran a 2 man with my homeboy on her and her friend. Got her number and even made out with her that nite. After that, she became flaky as hell. Like would tell me she couldn't make it once I was at the place. So I lied and told her I would take her to an extremely nice place and that I would pay for everything. Of course, she actually shows up to go there. I give her w/e excuse she gave me for one of her flakes and blocked her. Years later, found out that she used to f*** with quite a few young DC promoters. I think she became like a hardcore gamer and moved to NC now.
Thinking about it now. I've run into ALOT of "being the side dude" situations in my lifetime
