B2M i agree. Legendary groups like the Temps and Isleys- I agree. But jodeci and dru hill. Silk is on that level. I love Jodeci but their fast songs were horrid. Also Devante's production helped a great deal. But guess what? Give H-town a devante beat and they knocked it out the park.

If you compare Silk to groups like the OJays, Spinners, Stylistics, Isleys, they will lose everytime. Those groups of the 70s set a standard hardly any groups can reach. I just don't know if its fair to make that comparison. I can't sit here and say they can't compare to those groups so let me rank them a 6.

I'd give em a 6. Meeting In My Bedroom and Freak Me are bedroom classics

Other than a few classic songs...no great albums. Nothing that made the standout. They could sing no doubt but that was it. When you talk about the great groups of the 90's, most forget about Silk. They came out the gates with a #1 Hit in Freak Me but after that......they fizzled out. Very disappointing career.
