10 off the strength of this gif alone. No other front man could pull this off. Nobody. Spin move, Mic behind the back, switch hands, dip, switch hands, pull up smooth, switch hands again. All on beat not one step lost.

10/10 Legendary.

The Tempts birthed the J5. Arguably the greatest group of all time. nikkas dropped in the 60's and had a run up through the 80's and still touring today. 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s.... 60 years breh. Otis Williams the only original member still alive and he still touring. Legendary.

Hits on top of hits. Had yo grandma's bloomers soaked. Granny ready to risk it all.

Top 5 singing group tv movie all time. Shout out to Leon.
I disagree about them birthing the J5 unless you wanna go the route of saying they helped make Motown a powerhouse before the J5 was signed

10. They are the golden standard by which all other soul groups are judged upon. David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks had some of the greatest voices of all time. They did everything well. They could sing, dance, harmonize. Every group that came after was inspired directly or indirectly. Timeless music, had big hits for about 4 decades. Changed members as they left/passed away and has still been able to maintain a high level of quality. They are an irreplaceable fixture of music history.

This jam came out after David and Eddie

They definitely still had classics but David and Eddie has those distinct voices that can’t be replaced. The new nikkas could sing but if you didn’t know the Temps sang this song it could easily be mistaken for another group out at the time

I think that’s because after Eddie left, they only had two original members, and nobody came to see Otis.

They a 10 without a question but.....Otis had alot of mouth for someone who never took lead :mjpls:
I remember somebody posted something about the O’Jays saying that the light skinned dude who didn’t sing lead acted like the leader of the group. Same applies with Otis and the Temptations, Michael Bivins and New Edition. Probably a few others I’m forgetting right now.
