It's not terrible, if you make a decent living you'll eat pretty good, the COL is quite high and that's the main issue but dudes who can afford it can eat pretty well.

I keep looking at Ft. Lauderdale if I wanted to leave ATL. I just want Black people, beaches, palm trees and good cost of living.

My best friend lives in West Palm Beach but heard it was expensive. This thread makes it sound like the best place in Florida is Miami proper.

I'm in Lauderhill, in the hood actually and it's not really that bad. Outside of sistrunk and a few parts of lauderdale it's not really crime filed like Miami. People get capped in lauderhill on the regular but that's more east of 441 and sunrise, oakland and so forth. Once you hit commercial it's more safe and relaxed.

I will say the good thing about it though, it's pretty segregated in some parts of Fort Lauderdale, lotta chicks and most will date where they live, you can catch a few bad ones and knock them up and you pretty good. Money is important but the gentreficated areas are more better for some folks who money ain't really there yet.

Las Olas is mostly young people, I'm too old to be out there, the strip clubs aren't that great, maybe port hole on sample is probably the best one, vegas caberet is ass checks. Not many clubs like Miami but more basic and less bougie as compared to Miramar/Pines...

I give it a 7, the jobs aren't that good though, lots of low wages gigs and white liberalism who pay terrible...

I want to spend more time in West Palm but too far of a drive to me... it's not bad though, definitely more relaxed than Miami life and a little cheaper.

Lotta west indies here, mostly simple people trying to survive, I can't really hate at all...

Wish the money at these jobs were better but maybe one day.
:russ: yep that, gold club or gold rush and booby trap pompano.

I'm going to the Weeknd concert in August and it's at the stadium where the dolphins stay, was just going to stay in lauderdale as the stadium is equal distance from there or Miami.

Miami
I’ve lived like 30 mins away from FTL for most of my life, and I don’t know much about the city. I should go explore. :pachaha:

I usually only go there for the airport

Havent looked thru thread but everything you can do in miami you can do in ft lauderdal and people move up from miami to ft lauderdale.. unless you tryna be on scene I guess miami but everything down here is by car so it dont matter if you driving from suburbs in miami or broward its dam near the same..

Not sure on prices now but miami is more expensive, I know people who come to miami get culture shock of hispanic people/spanish language, its less the more north you go, I guess it depends what you value and priorities are..

Thought Las Olas was supposed to be full of vibrant young (40 and under) people:dahell:. Was there recently and almost everyone I saw was an old white person..
The pandemic may have messed things up. I was last there when I got a tattoo a few years ago.

I was there in late December and it was a lot younger than it used to be though compared to Wynwood or Miami Beach that's not saying much
Voodoo Bayou and Palm Room were packed with young people. Las Olas used to be DEAD on a weeknight but now it seems like the happy hour scene is popping at those places i mentioned and Yolo. It's some mexican spot that be packed too
