Yeah it depends. Fort Lauderdale like the cheaper version. Do have its differences. Pros and cons to each. Both have good beaches and decent party spots. Miami is nicer cuz its the bigger city but Miami Beach gets crazy packed with tourist and the spots around there are more expensive. Most of the decent spots tho are in Miami. Good bars and clubs in both counties, but Miami more notorious for them and the rappers shout them out more. Its got the worst traffic especially on I-95. Plus constant construction and fukkery. Miami has more sports teams down there, Fort Lauderdale doesn't have any in the city. Two in the Miami metro area, one in Miami suburbs and one in Fort Lauderdale suburbs. Fort Lauderdale got the better airport for domestic travel cuz I think MIA got more of the craziness with international travel so its more packed. Miami does have the metrorail and fort lauderdale don't have shyt but buses and ubers. In general I feel that Broward is calmer than Dade. Its more chill and less drama.

I understand now. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

My friend from high school moved there after living in miami for awhile, he said it's more affordable and less quiet. I hate that airport tbh and it's convoluted system. Nice chill place to relax and you only 30 minutes away from Miami and the craziness.

I'm in Lauderhill, in the hood actually and it's not really that bad. Outside of sistrunk and a few parts of lauderdale it's not really crime filed like Miami. People get capped in lauderhill on the regular but that's more east of 441 and sunrise, oakland and so forth. Once you hit commercial it's more safe and relaxed.

I will say the good thing about it though, it's pretty segregated in some parts of Fort Lauderdale, lotta chicks and most will date where they live, you can catch a few bad ones and knock them up and you pretty good. Money is important but the gentreficated areas are more better for some folks who money ain't really there yet.

Las Olas is mostly young people, I'm too old to be out there, the strip clubs aren't that great, maybe port hole on sample is probably the best one, vegas caberet is ass checks. Not many clubs like Miami but more basic and less bougie as compared to Miramar/Pines...

I give it a 7, the jobs aren't that good though, lots of low wages gigs and white liberalism who pay terrible...

I want to spend more time in West Palm but too far of a drive to me... it's not bad though, definitely more relaxed than Miami life and a little cheaper.

Lotta west indies here, mostly simple people trying to survive, I can't really hate at all...

Wish the money at these jobs were better but maybe one day.

Born n Raised, shouts out to the city.

Lauderdale 4 Life, gotta give it a 9. Once we legalize it'll be a 10....

Opportunities are here, you just gotta look for em. Lotta wealthy people scattered around the county making moves, Tampa's cool and Miami's dope but Broward is a nice medium and way chiller, I can always pop out to Miami for special events then be back on my side in no time. It's way more affordable than Miami too. I and a other few people are looking to build a strong network of black businesses in the city that can retain the wealth and spread it through our communities...
I'm out dancing in the city at least 1-2x a week spreading +Vibes, right now it's going crazy with all the Canadians snowbirding down here, they fukk with the kid :takedat:

I enjoyed Ft Lauderdale when i went. Las Olas was a nice walkable district, The beach was nice, but not crowded like Miami Beach. Ft Lauderdale has a more laid back vibe compared to Miami, but it isn't district enough to differentiate itself from Miami. No breaks in urbanity, no distinct look. It's practically all the same to me since they're part of the same metro, and you can literally see one city while in the other.

Porthole is hood as fukk. Vegas is terrible you are right. But in broward. Diamond dolls and booby trap is poppin!! Even cheetah on Atlantic is better than porthole lol I prefer Broward to Dade simply because it's less crowded. also tootsies is literally next to the border of Dade and broward. 954 > 305

Lived there for a year and some change. Giving it a 9.

Pros:

Not as crowded as Miami
Less expensive than Miami
Quieter than Miami
Prefer the beaches there over Miami
Lots of plazas and has everything you need everywhere

Cons:

Lots of old people
Jobs suck and don't pay as much
Has grown expensive over the years

I live in Lauderdale Lakes off Commercial going on 2 years.

Pros:
More bang for your buck on places to live. I have over 800 square feet under $1200/month. Good luck finding that in Dade.
Home ownership is more attainable.
The whores are more affordable.
Caribbean food spots.
Sawgrass Mills
Black folks have positions of power up here unlike Dade :mjpls:

Cons:
Only 2 nightlife districts (FTL Beach and Las Olas).
Unless you’re in the hood, less foot traffic to catch women folk.
The strip clubs are garbage. No full nudity and the whole culture is weird compared to Dade.
