I consider it part of Miami metro so i give it an 8. I lived in Doral which is a suburb of Miami for 2 years and would go to Ft. Lauderdale once in a while. Lots of old folks from what i remember.

My posts in that thread apply to both Dade and Broward County. No need to rate this city. Not much differences except less people and tourists. Miami more expensive tho and has crazier drivers, not like Broward doesn't have it's fair share.
I know that it’s technically apart of the Miami area but I figured that it had a different vibe and culture compared to Miami. Much like how Jersey City And PG county is much different from NYC and DC even though they are right next to each other.

I know that it’s technically apart of the Miami area but I always thought that it have a different atmosphere to it if that makes sense. Much like how Jersey City And PG county is much different from NYC and DC even though they are right next to each other.
Yeah it depends. Fort Lauderdale like the cheaper version. Do have its differences. Pros and cons to each. Both have good beaches and decent party spots. Miami is nicer cuz its the bigger city but Miami Beach gets crazy packed with tourist and the spots around there are more expensive. Most of the decent spots tho are in Miami. Good bars and clubs in both counties, but Miami more notorious for them and the rappers shout them out more. Its got the worst traffic especially on I-95. Plus constant construction and fukkery. Miami has more sports teams down there, Fort Lauderdale doesn't have any in the city. Two in the Miami metro area, one in Miami suburbs and one in Fort Lauderdale suburbs. Fort Lauderdale got the better airport for domestic travel cuz I think MIA got more of the craziness with international travel so its more packed. Miami does have the metrorail and fort lauderdale don't have shyt but buses and ubers. In general I feel that Broward is calmer than Dade. Its more chill and less drama.

Just got back from Fort Lauderdale. Nothing special about it but I like it as a city tho. Would live there over West Palm and Miami anyday! but it’s also home to many black Caribbean people and I Do feel black folks there are in better positions than the black folks in Miami.
Plenty of Haitians, Jamaicans, Trinis, etc.. All over the place. Lots of good food spots from them too. Broward got more of the successful black folks I think. Dade got some but got more poorer areas down there. So definitely better positioned in Fort Lauderdale. Lots of international investors coming to the area lately. The real estate has been growing a lot and they got a new mall being planned for the future. Lots of opportunities.

Definitely...there's actually a semblance of a black middle class in Broward.

Educated professions aside, the pervasive and blatant cronyism (especially amongst a certain :mjpls: segment) is how A LOT of incompetent morons get put on in Miami in so many sectors.
