1. How are our styles dated as the fashion Mecca of the world and where everyone copies our styles ? NY is synonymous with style
2. Every city is overcrowded to an extent
3. How has NY lost influence as the origin of cultural impact and significance. Back in the day, the Souf couldn’t get play without getting approval from NY. Not only music culture but we set the blueprint for lyricism and intellectual rap. Art, history, finance ...This is why I don’t get - how can a city lose or fall off when it never went anywhere and we established the trends that other cities evolved from. The only other city that can make that claim is Chicago bc they’ve been unique. Harlem and Chicago were intertwined historically.
4. No disrespect but Wait til we get to “Rate”
Baltimore - I’m taking 2 points off top bc yall put Old Bay on everything, even pizza and Newark, NJ club music sounds better.
:pacspit:

1. I'm not even gonna go into details, but I'll just say they this isn't 2006 anymore. It has become a caricature of itself...i.e the Timberland (Bat) signal people

2. NYC isn't over crowded, its just crowded by design. Some people hate, some people love it. It doesn't bother me personally, and it adds to the vibrancy. I like seeing that kind of street activity.

3. That may be the case, but in 2019 the south is the bigger influencer. That like saying no phone could be better than the iPhone because they were innovative back in 2007 when it has clearly been surpassed by several phones over the past decade. I agree with you on lyricism, but people unfortunately don't care so much about lyrics as much as they care about a catchy phrase and something that they can relate to, which the south excels at. As far as Art, culture, History...NYC has no equal in America and that's not even close.

4. You can take Newark Club music and Baltimore club and throw them both in the trash. Aside from some old school club songs, I've always hated club music. Don't disrespect Old Bay tho...

I'm taking .0009 from NYC away for transgressions made against Old Bay and for reminding me how much i hate club music.

Do you really think everyone in NYC rocks Timbs all the time :heh:

The shoe choice of urban fashion doesn't vary that much when you adjust for weather

And NYC doesn't feel as overcrowded if you stay out of the ultra touristy/business areas. When I walk around my favorite neighborhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn, it just feels like a regular highly urban but not overwhelming experience as far as crowds.

Of course not everyone in NYC wears timbs all day everyday. Actually NYC isn't crowded at all really outside of Manhattan and maybe parts of Brooklyn where there's more elbow room. I've been to every borough in NYC except Staten Island.

Pay 70% of your income every month, for a rat infested closet that you'll never own, in a dingy old building, in an old overcrowded city that smells like garbage, because some famous rappers USED to live there 25 years ago, brehs.

6. If your hometown gets rated low don’t take it personal, we all have preferences.

I live in NYC, and I've lived other places. I gave it a 6 :yeshrug:.

PROs
--If you're looking to climb the ladder in certain industries (finance, the arts, etc.), then this is definitely the place with the most opportunities.
--You can also find anything you're looking for here...whatever type of woman you like, whatever type of food you like, whatever nightlife you like, etc.
--Stuff stays open late, which is clutch for a night owl like me
--Affordable/Extensive public transport
--Every borough, and the neighborhoods within the boroughs, have completely different vibes from each other, which is cool.

CONs
--Crowded AF
--Noisy AF
--Dirty AF
--a$$hole Drivers
--Bureaucratic AF
--The city smells like literal hot garbage in the summer
--Weather is either humid AF (summer), freezing AF (winter), or bipolar AF (fall/spring)... but to be fair, that pretty much describes all of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic

How'd I know this bytch was gonna get in her feelings? :russ:

I was wrong with my score I'll admit. :hubie:

The city is a 10. :salute:

But the bytching from its citizens is a 0. So that averages out to a 5. :umad:

People in NYC don’t dress like 2006

It’s a corny running joke made by bamas on here. It’s far from the truth if anything nikkas in other cities have dated styles.

Also nikkas everywhere wear Uptown’s and Timbs look at how these Chicago and Atlanta nikkas are dressed

The typical rapper is wearing plain Ralph Lauren fitted tees (a NY brand), designer jeans, BB Simons belts (NY shyt we was doing 10 years ago look at Jimmy/Juelz/Max B), and Uptown’s with Timbs being the boot of choice

Nikkas stay rocking Roc Nation attire and Puma fits NY shyt :heh:

These Atlanta nikkas stay wearing monogram designer fits, Dapper Dan shyt NY shyt

What are you talking about?
