It's just like people who like Oakland over LA, though. Oakland ain't a more complete, greater city than LA, but its characteristics appeal to certain people...

People have definitely said it can be boring and in comparison to LA its slower. Liking somewhere more than somewhere else doesn't mean it's better. I prefer Buffalo to New York City and have known other people who do too, but Buff ain't a "better" city, all things considered...
Buff should be done next :ehh:

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with everything you said especially with the county Vietnamese/Asian thing. I remember going to a soul food spot in midtown a year or so ago and there was this Vietnamese cat speaking like a dude straight out of south Memphis. Talking about some.

“we got to preserve our culture bruh:ufdup:

literally had me like:wtf::wtf::wtf:

:ufdup:Straight slander.

Memphis bbq is fire no doubt.

But, SETX bbq bout more diverse than anywhere in the country. We got all the typical southern bbq items, plus the beef ribs, chopped beef, smoked boudain, grease-beef balls, muddy-water sausage(Houston specific), smoke crabs(beaumont specific) courtesy of the TX cowboy and Louisiana creole traditions.
Yea that’s cool but to get some Memphis bbq ribs that was slow cooked overnight in a smoker that’s old af.....man :blessed:

I guess I shouldn't be cappin cuz East TX bbq is heavily influenced by TN BBQ.

Imma have to knock down a plate when I visit there.
