Random but a little OT - Does California stay hot like all year round? They never have a winter or cold weather?:wtf:
@ItsMeButters - I always wondered what that was like. So it's summer time hot out there 24/7/365? What time does it starting get dark outside?
northern cali sees snow, bay area is cool year round, southern cali is desert, it can get hot but temps in the winter are mild, I'm assuming it gets dark the same time it does anywhere bar the time difference.

The city was the Goat once upon a time but that was over a decade ago back when everybody would hit the city for the Function because it was always smacking out there.

Being in highschool and sneaking into city nights /candy shop >>>>>

The whole bay in general was the Goat.

Now tho....:francis:

Had to leave because shyt is so trash
I used to have so much fun out here growing up until around 09, then shyt just hit a wall. Smh

Extreme NorCal sees snow, you have to go north to like Redding to see snow and even there they only get like an inch a year...

I don't know why people have this myth it snows in NorCal---->when people think of Northern Cali, they think of the big areas where everyone lives. Its as rare to see snow in those areas as it is in SoCal, so when people say "Northern California sees snow" they need to specify it's the very extreme upper Northern Cali that sees it...

Another thing that bothered me and maybe it was because I worked/lived in the financial district but I rarely met a 49ers fan. When I was in Oakland though:whew:...the pride they have for the raiders was on another level...

"Northern California has warm or mild to cold climate, in which the Sierra gets snow in the late fall through winter and occasionally into spring"

"Snow covers the mountains (generally above 3000 feet) in mid January through February"

I got the same vibe... I don't think its a football town
Giants seemed to be the top team out there, then the Warriors

This is 100. You from The City, Nikki? No, I am not, but from the Bay.

Bruh you didn't say anything wrong here. This board is gonna have an over representation of Californians who defend SF, but there are a number of us who recognize it for what it is...

I enjoy nightlife catered to the arts and to black people, Oakland is better on both counts...

If the problem is the transplants, what are the locals doing to rectify the intense unaffordability and the intense marginalization of Black SF?

What can the locals do? They protest, but money is more important. Just like the black people in Oakland can't do anything to stop the gentrification that is happening there. Oakland is pretty much going to be SF #2.

Plug me to your thread about SF...

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
It's a really beautiful, I can't even front about that. From an architectural point of view it's straight up beautiful.

I do feel like it tries to mimic east coast cities but that's not a bad thing. There's always something to do it out there.

Cons:

- I got a cold or out there in August. Do NOT being shorts out there. San Francisco people wear bubble coats in August because it's basically fall time year round (fall by east coast standards)

- lacks black people. The few I did see were with Asians (both men and women)

I'll give it an 8

I don’t think it’s tries to mimic the east coast. San Fran is sort of old I believe and is even smaller than DC land wise.

Gave it a 7.

I thought it was dope. Gave me an east coast architecture and commerce vibe with west coast sensibilities.

Cost of living is just out of fukking control though...although you probably could find a job to match, but it's absurdly overpriced and I feel it's overdue for an economic correction.

I talked to a developer out there some years back, and it's out of control not because of the economy is booming, but because the homeowners associations won't allow new property permits to be granted by the city/municipality artificially inflating home prices. Which I actually can't fault people for doing. Get that paper. But I wouldn't go out there unless I could make 200K a year.

$3800 for a one bedroom apartment is straight up atrocious.

you think the housing cost are pricey but at the same time understand where NIMBYS are coming from?

:ohhh:
