I thought it was dope. Gave me an east coast architecture and commerce vibe with west coast sensibilities.
Cost of living is just out of fukking control though...although you probably could find a job to match, but it's absurdly overpriced and I feel it's overdue for an economic correction.
I talked to a developer out there some years back, and it's out of control not because of the economy is booming, but because the homeowners associations won't allow new property permits to be granted by the city/municipality artificially inflating home prices. Which I actually can't fault people for doing. Get that paper. But I wouldn't go out there unless I could make 200K a year.
$3800 for a one bedroom apartment is straight up atrocious.

My first time there, it was July, so i packed summer gear... I'm thinking its Cali, so im in for nice weather
mannnnn I had to go shopping cuz it was in the 50's at night, 60's in the daytime

I've heard good and bad. From the different unique neighborhoods to the high cost of living. Would like to visit someday, definitely a top ten city to visit. Ride the cable cars, check out the bridge, fisherman's wharf, and whatever else cool stuff the city has to offer. Don't know about living there tho. I don't think it gets too cold but I know there's a lot of whites, Asians, and gays. A week-long vacation checking out SF and Oakland, if there's anything to do there, will be sufficient for me.

Worst major city for black people in the entire United States...
Black mobility is atrocious, the overwhelming majority of black people in SF are impoverished. Have a grandfather who grew up in Potrero Hill in the 50s and 60s, when it was blacker----->that area is less than 10% black now. There is no real black area anymore, which is how it is in most Cali cities, but the general attitude towards black people is embarrassing...
I was profiled by Asians at a fukking Subway restaurant downtown, near the Best Buy on Harrison. A fukking Subway restaurant----->because even the Asians expect that all black people are impoverished and ghetto there...
The city is picturesque but not as clean as you'd think, it's actually dirty as fukk, worst homeless population in America...
I wouldn't live in SF if I made 5 million a year, I absolutely can't stand SF. BART/Muni is limited and on delays constantly. Way too expensive for somewhere that offers literally nothing to black people...
My gramps is from there and wouldn't live there again to save his life. It's worth a visit, because it is an iconic American city, but it is criminally overrated. I'll give it a 5 because it's a one of a kind visit, but after going 2 or 3 times you really don't ever have to go again. So many better places in California...

Not a lot of blacks. First day I was out there my co worker (also the second one out of 3 of us that are black in a department of damn near 50
) told me to chill mostly in Oakland.
But San Fran is a cool city..I like the scenery (bridges, mountains, its hilly). Price is expensive but i'm from NYC so it wasn't crazy shocking to me. Fishermans wharf and mission district were cool.
I wouldnt live there tho too many cacs and Asians and the homelessness is worse there than NYC. Mad me feel like it was back in the 80's/90s

- doesn't live up to the fun of other big cities
- not diverse
- what was once interesting about it/its neighborhoods has been erased by homogenous white and asian nerd transplants
- shyt closes early
- lives off the hype of good cali weather but has by far some of the worst weather in the state
- too expensive to be dirty as it is
- fake woke liberal laws
- hella fukking taxes
- stinks
- traffic sucks
- there is a whole outter half of that already small city that wack as fukk (sunset, richmond, lakeshore/parkside/twin peaks) as well as bayview
- pushed the corny mofo's who wanted to live there over into oakland and fukked up our city
