Damn how I miss this thread :russ:

I lived there for 4 1/2 years, went to Rutgers campus there.
Being from Philly and spending my last year of HS in South Jersey, I ain’t think nothing of CMD, besides the aquarium which was a field trip damn near every year and the Tweeter Center ( my first concert, Usher, Faith Evans and Nas in 2002 :wow:)

Never seen so many junkies and drug use/ prostitution out in the open. Literally down the block from City Hall.
Hang out on Broadway during the day u bound to see it all.
My 3rd year there, they got rid of 75% of the police force cuz the city was bankrupt.

BS aside, it’s a lot of good people there just trying to survive. Was a journalist student and did some work close with the Courier Post so I really got to learn the ins and outs, the corruption and history of the city.

Id give it a 10 if the poll wasn’t closed...
This town has been systematically raped since the 60s riots. Look up George and Donald norcross to see how it continues to be exploited. My boy had some property down there he was trying to sell for 8 years. With all the loopholes and charges you are not even aware of I dare anyone to say there isn’t institutionalized racism in America designed to keep black people in hell.

Oh I know the history lol

I took an Urban Civ class there, and my professor knew Camden back and front, even took us on a history tour through town (course some were scared as hell :russ: )

i had the chance to interview a lot of local businesses and spent time at the courthouse. Saw a lot.
Wouldn’t trade that experience for anything, shaped my thinking

Sparking blunts in the shade.
The hell were you expecting? :gucci:

I wasn’t sure. People always told me that Philly was a shythole but I like it and visit whenever I’m close, so when I found out out Camden was right over a bridge I decided I would make a trip over there the next time I was in town... That won’t happen again.:francis:

Brick City, NJ
Newark is one of the toughest cities in America and Camden, Irvington and parts of Paterson, I would not go to voluntarily go there if I could avoid it. The Adventure Aquarium is literally the only nice place the city has.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Please be on the look out for Camden in the long term because if Philadelphia ends up becoming a booming east coast city Camden will end up just like Jersey City across Manhattan.

You’ll start seeing Camden building a luxurious waterfront like they are doing in the south Bronx now.

Of course people will say hell no but many areas across the country that have gentrified were given the “hell no” at one point to.
