I have a feeling that Alfheim Online is what's creating all these shytty scores. Let a newcomer watch only the 1st season and Alicilization and I bet SAO gets no lower than 8.

I'd go so far in saying that in my scenario there would be more 9s than 8s.

Cant wait to watch alicization but wont till its completely done airing which it returns end March finishes up end june next year

Pretty much. I prolly rate it higher than you overall tho. I feel like all the arcs have been 9-10's with only the Elf arc being like a 7.

That's a terrible argument. You're basically saying if you take out the worst part of a series it will get a higher score. Of course it would. But that's not the reality. The reality is that while a portion of the series is good, there is another portion that is abysmal and I can not put in the same ranks of the better series.

Between a 6 and a 7, and that's because the 1st season was great. I HATED Alfheim.

Gave it a 2. I only rate anime that low if it does something disturbing that doesn't serve any thematic purpose whatsoever, and I don't like the show anyway outside of that. This is usually rape played for laughs, as fanservice or just for the sake of manufacturing drama. Gantz, Tenjou Tenge and SAO have that common.
