Tomiko Van's beautiful ass on the vocals, that guitar, and Lord Swagshomaru front and center over the ending credits. :wow:

Like, if I wasn't fed up with the plot taking forever to pick up between filler, Sesshomaru taking a backseat for most of the show's run despite being a better character than 98% of the randos the group runs into, and SO MUCH fukkING FLUFF (I get that there was gonna be a lot of romance, but cotdamn between Kikyo/Inuyasha, Inuyasha/Kagome, Sango/Miroku, Miroku/His hand, Hojo/Kagome...), I'd give it a 10 off the strength of introducing me to my 2nd favorite Japanese band all-time behind The Pillows and Sango's fine ass.

...Speaking of, can we get a FLCL one down the line? @SJUGRAD13 That thread will be straight comedy.

A Villa Straylight.
But The Final Act fixes a lot of these issues and wraps the story up in a very satisfying way. Giving both seasons together an eight that may turn into a nine if a theme song is playing at any given time.
Final act did the series justice. Everything came full circle.

I have fond memories of waiting until 3AM just to see where the Inuyasha adventure would go next. The ending theme would be the last thing I listened to before going to sleep, and to this day I still play the OST's in a playlist during commutes. Inuyasha was the only shounen I saw Adult Swim to feature a group of males that recognized the opposite sex. Miroku would probably get this show canceled in 2019, but it was great to see he and Sango establish mutual trust over the course of the story and eventually change each other for the better. Koga was a perfect foil to Inuyasha who needed a push to realize how much he valued Kagome, and the main triangle was a constant subject of debates from viewers of the show at the time. I owe Inuyasha and to some extent Tenchi Muyo for being more open minded to other genres.

I think the person who hates Inuyasha enough to give it a 1 doesn't care for romance to be the foundation of any anime they watch, and probably doesn't like their lead characters to be vulnerable. Basically every character had an insecurity that they needed to resolve to find peace with themselves. Inuyasha is a whiny bytch..because he's insecure about his mixed race, has been abandoned by everyone he's been close too, and has no idea where he belongs in the world. He searching for that place throughout the story like everyone else, and all of them do find it by the end. but some viewers would rather the MC be Goku who lives for battle and concerns himself about basically nothing else. A one dimensional and completely unrealistic approach to life, but a better "hero" figure than someone who is often shown struggling.

There are other valid reasons to dislike Inuyasha. The story takes forever to progress, lots of filler, lots of jobber villains, Naraku is the most frustrating anime villain of all time, and it always feels like Sesshomaru should have a bigger spotlight than he does. Clearly the best designed character in the show. But The Final Act fixes a lot of these issues and wraps the story up in a very satisfying way. Giving both seasons together an eight that may turn into a nine if a theme song is playing at any given time.

Nominating Maison Ikkoku...there's a zero percent chance this gets on the poll, but this is Rumiko's best achievement as a romance writer. I'd argue it's the very best anime in its genre. Also nominating FLCL, Neon Genesis Evangelion for some polarizing shows that'll get anywhere from a 1 to a 10.

I actually remember how the song goes for the most part and I haven’t heard this song since adult swim. That was like what? 06 07?

I still remember that song and that shyt was fire.

I’m not gonna say this show was bad, it was another show I grew up off and watched because it was on adult swim and interesting enough for me to follow.

But with most animes like these, they go on for so long until they get cut off and you have no idea when they will show the rest.

I think I saw the last fight on YouTube or something, but can tell you how many episodes I missed before that.

This show is way more repetitive than DBZ, this show always made it seem like it was almost over, then it wasn’t, multiple times.

At least with DBZ you could tell how the story would progress and when a saga would end.

This show was like they gonna fight the villain and this is it multiple times.

Anyway, I like the show because it was interesting for me to watch at the time.

:ehh: This is a tough anime to figure out. Normally I can kind of see where an anime will finish up pretty quickly but this is different. I won’t say the specific number for obvious reasons but based on looks this is headed towards the bottom tier with Sailor moon and dragon ball super.

:ehh: I didn’t think a heavy nostalgic anime would end up like this. I’ve seen animes so far get a black bump ( Afro Samurai and Samurai Champloo) and a crazy nostalgia bump (Yu Yu and Gundam) but the coli seems to be ignoring it for Inuyasha.

:ehh: Sadly I don’t think this bolds well for Tenchi Muyo or Dragon ball GT ( BTW one is coming up very very very shortly)
