8/10, too many flaws to give this a 10

2nd season sucked imo. Everybody on this show besides Lelouch is dumb as rocks

This show was "fukkery for the sake of fukkery"

Code Geass is really meant to be experienced, not analyzed or taken seriously. If you can turn your brain off and just enjoy the random fukkery then CG is an incredible ride with legendary ending. I'll never forget the episode to episode hysteria when R2 was airing live and no one knew what was about to happen next.

giving it a 8 or 9. has a couple openings that put me on nostalgia trips

Great concept for a show felt very epic like Macbeth or something and the first season was the peak with the rise of Lelouch and the black knights to the insane mech designs and strategy in fights. The second season has a lot more issues like how they handled Nunally and Lelouch's pops characterization but that ending still top 5 for me 8/10

9/10, first season is out of this world, second has some slow parts but still extremely solid. a GOAT anime candidate no doubt

you want a show that's gonna leave you like damn near every episode, here you go.

Code Geass is damn near relentless when it comes to punching your narrative expectations in the face.

It's one of my faves because of the mental/psychological fukkery it pulls off.

But I'm only giving it a 9. 1. Cause of some slight plotholes and 2. Sometimes it can do a little TOO much.
