Nah, brehs. It's from the same story, yes. But those are still two different productions. There's Samurai X and Rurouni Kenshin. The storytelling, animation, character development are just different. Samurai X is just superior than RK.
I dont know wtf you talking about then breh because every piece of animated media associated with Himura Kenshin is originally titled Rurouini Kenshin, even the movies. So show me an example of Samurai X that you are talking about. I have no problem being wrong. I just need to see what you talking about.

They are different productions, yeah. T&B a straight to DVD release and the original a TV series. I’m with you on the animation quality. But the name is the same. they don’t have a “X” in the Japanese language

I count it all together just because I know T&B comes right after where the TV series stopped at (supposed to be a flashback arc after Kyoto) It’s like a continuation to me

I get it. And you're not wrong. But when I think of Rurouni Kenshin, I think of the TV series. The OVAs for me are a different thing. The two are different enough in approach and animation to not be lumped into the same thing.

If you've ever watched History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi, then you know that the TV series and the OVAs are basically the same thing. The OVAs are literally a continuation of the TV series. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless someone pointed it out to you. With Samurai X and RK, you can see the difference immediately. And by the end, you know there are two different groups of people running those anime.

yeah that makes sense. I guess I just automatically connect anime together if it’s one continual story, even if a whole production team has changed.

at some point Inuyasha will come up. I treat the final act the same as S1. Even though it’s way different in pace, how the designs look and voice actors used. But you could separate them and not be wrong either

Used to be obsessed with that show, Kenny also had one of the greatest berserker personalities in anime history, when that nikka flipped his blade I was always on some :ooh::picard:

A 9 for me. The anime suffered from the same problem Inuyasha did, which is side characters always repeating their names over and over.
