but it does have boxing and Ippo draws inspiration from it. If you've heard of Megalo Box it basically copies AnJ 1:1 in a different setting. Not nearly as good though.

10 goat anime imo one of my favs the development of everything is great only thing I hated is when they broke down the class system and how tuguro was a b class if I can remember off the top of my head and he was killing weaker demons off his power alone but sensui didn’t have that type of power as a S class demons kinda of tripped me out

The old old gundams yeah it does. The animation is honestly awful and doesn't hold up well today. but the redemption arc of the main character, Yabuki Joe, stands out as the best in any anime I've seen.

I’m not going to front man. I didn’t even know the anime existed until posters were thirsting for it, But read that thread man those posters were passionate and emotional over it. And it’s not like it got the bare minimum of ten votes either, they had a 9/10 vote of 94 percent ( edit it was 91.6 percent) if I’m not mistaken. That’s unmeasurably high and not one poster said anything bad about it ( not one).


It even knocked Hunter X Hunter out of the top 5 and single handily raised all the 9 rated anime averages.

Probably the greatest endorsement of an anime I’ve ever seen.

The passion is real over here 112 episodes and I’ve seen everyone at minimum 15 times. I make it a yearly thing of mine to watch this series. I remember watching this on adult swim and they never ran it past the 4 saint beast saga and I was like it has to be more. Ended up copping the series on dvd ive watched them ever since

Idk if that was after teguro or not, but it ended up ending at the beginning of the sensui saga on toonami, then the show was over.

All of a sudden years later I find out that they bytch ass put that shyt on like 5 or 6 in the fukkin morning.

You'd have to explore anime outside of what gets localized in the West to really know about Ippo and all the other great anime that don't get pushed here.
