Hell, I personally think DBZ is overrated as fukk and don't get the fascination a lot of dudes have with it, but I would never call it average.

Nostalgia, plain and simple. But why is average used as such a negative? Nothing wrong with something being average because most stuff is average .

I feel you. Hell, I personally think DBZ is overrated as fukk and don't get the fascination a lot of dudes have with it, but I would never call it average. Even with all its flaws and filler, its impact and dope moments keep it from being average. I feel like its a 7 personally.
I look at shyt like SAO and Black Clover the same way.

it's funny though, right. Before DBZ, only women were into the longform serial style of storytelling in america. Unless it was comics, and that was niche pre 1993

This whole modern entertainment industry may owe everything to DBZ and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

because if EVERYBODY likes it, it can't possibly be "average"

the easiest way to make something popular and great is to make people see it's popular and great.

Nothing wrong with being average when its in the proper perspective.

There is a lot of average shyt on that list. I can't dispute that.
I'm just speaking on 2 anime that got below average scores, that most people outside of here that watch anime would say are real good or at the very least average.

For example if anybody that never seen anime before, decided on only watching the average and above average voted shows on this list, would miss out on some real dope shyt.

that's cause you're right and they're not.

There really is nothing wrong with "average". But who's gonna cop to liking "average", especially when everyone else likes it. It must be the best shyt ever.
