I'mma get in on this.
Brody King/PCO vs The Briscoes, from the ROH 17th Anniversary show.
***
Gets points for the entire show and this match being a subtle nod to the company being founded in Philadelphia, at least to me. It felt like the show was loosely laid out like a mid to late era ECW show, with the main event/world title match randomly occuring in the middle of the show, devolving into fukkery, and having a random finish that attempted to put over the champion and challenger, while building an issue with the next challenger. And then having a tag team match main event. shyt was real close to being a watered down reincarnation of Heatwave 99, down to having Bubba Ray attempt to shyt on the crowd for no reason.
But the match itself was ok, I suppose. As I get older, I have less and less interest in hardcore style matches that are violent for the sake.of being violent. Someone needs to tell PCO to chill the fukk out. He really asked the Briscoes to open him up hard way with the sticks (

times a million), and let one of them do that stabbing spot with a broken one. He's legitimately going to die at a show if he keeps fukking around. He's too old for this shyt. That was the first Brody King match I'd ever seen. He was meh. Not looking forward to potentially seeing them wrestle the GOD next month.
Overall not a terrible match, but nothing I think I'll ever watch again.
