IMO Resident Evil 8, Ratchet & Clank, and Halo Infinite deserve game of the year praise for different reasons.

I wouldn’t be mad if someone argued the case for Metroid Dread

I voted Deathloop, but I fukks with Ratchet and Clank winning. Absolutely enjoyable game from top to bottom, looked great, and even for the stuff to get a platinum, it wasn't a bunch of shyt that didn't value your time.

I tried to like Returnal but I just couldn't get into it. I voted Forza 2nd choice might be a toss up between RE, Halo, and Ratchet and Clank. Haven't had time to get into Halo due to work and when it came out but I plan to get into it this weekend.
