No it wasn’t , people say anything to go viral , it goes for celebrities as well, were Kobe and MJ goat defenders? No but they was still greatI understand Rasheed's point. Putting MJ in 10 1st team all defensive teams was ludicrous
Similar to Kobe being put on All defensive teams. It was more of a marketing thing with the NBA
He had the wingspan and knowledge to guard anyone, but he wasn’t always locked in on defense. There’s a reason he never made an all defensive team.Gotta stop this one. Sheed was only behind Duncan for interior defenders in the NBA. He was an excellent defender.
I dont disagree, but his defense was a big reason why they won a title in Detroit and why the Celtics wanted a washed version of him years later. He had the wingspan and knowledge to guard anyone, but he wasn’t always locked in on defense. There’s a reason he never made an all defensive team.

Sheed was really a guy who was 10 years ahead of his time on offense and probably only had 4 years of a coach who got him to consistently give a good effort on defense. With his basketball IQ, his skill set on offense, and his post defense, he really should have been a lock for the hall of fame. His rebounding had a lot to do with it too. There’s no reason a guy his height should’ve averaged just 6.7 total rebounds per game and he should’ve peaked so much higher than 8.2 per game.I dont disagree, but his defense was a big reason why they won a title in Detroit and why the Celtics wanted a washed version of him years later.
he could defend and was probably only behind Duncan in 1v1 post defense.
Lastly, all defense, especially back then for big men, was really about blocks since advanced metrics wasn’t available.
He is a classic case of a rock head who shoulda been amazing.Sheed was really a guy who was 10 years ahead of his time on offense and probably only had 4 years of a coach who got him to consistently give a good effort on defense. It’s not true. The Bulls were an only a bad team in Jordan’s first three seasons (one of which he missed most of the year). Of his 10 scoring titles, 6 came with a championship, 2 with an ECF appearance, one was a second round exit, and one was a first round exit.
The Ls his boys took left him with hate in his heartYou didn't learn from what happened in Vegas two weeks ago have you, Bryan?
how the fukk is this thread still a thing a month later?
