Kidd averaged 10 ppg on 28% shooting in that series. Let me repeat - Kidd averaged 10 ppg on 28% shooting in that series. The fact that he was absolutely a non-factor and a detriment offensively to his team, and yet the Nets (as a team) still managed to take the NBA champs to seven games, should tell you all you need to know about how the Nets won games during the early-to-mid '00s (hint: it was because of their defense). Lowry on the other hand had multiple 30+ point games against the NBA champs last season.

Go figure.

Come on Gil,Kidd had a legit excuse for the poor shooting(knee injury),But here's the difference between Kidd and Lowry.Even with Kidd's poor shooting,he managed to contribute in other areas of the game.Yeah,he shot poorly against the Pistons, but look at the rest on his numbers playing on a injured knee:9.3a/6.7r/2.3s in 44.4mpg....if Lowry's not scoring,he useless.Kidd on the other hand can help his team win by passing, rebounding and defending.

Nah, not hearing it, not after you shytted on Lowry's postseason 'failures" and glossed over the fact he was injured for the majority of them.
,But here's the difference between Kidd and Lowry.Even with Kidd's poor shooting,he managed to contribute in other areas of the game.

You do realize that Lowry is one of the most well-rounded PGs in the league right? You do realize once upon a time he was arguably the best defensive PG in the game right? You do realize that he was arguably Team USA's best perimeter defender in the 2016 Olympics right? You do realize that he is one of the best playmaking PGs in the game right?
if Lowry's not scoring,he useless...

Let me get this straight his knee was so fukked up he could only score 10 ppg on 28% shooting, but he was still able to pass, rebound and defend at a high level in that series? TheColi y'all.

And averaging 10 ppg on 28% shooting and helping your team win by passing is bordering on being an oxymoron. If you had actually watched that series you would've seen just how detrimental Kidd was to the players around him on offense.

Pistons did that to everybody though, that defense was historic and their offense was damn near as bad (only 2 Pistons shot over 40% in the 6 game series against Indiana:picard:). "Big shot" Chauncey shot 38% that playoffs:scust:. I don't remember that Nets series at all and shame on both of ya'll for taking us back through that horrible period in NBA playoff history.
