That time of day on I-35 there's probably a little bit of traffic so I mean unless you're a literal trained killer and sharpshooter, grabbing your gun from the glove box is a waste of time in a situation where time is key. Unless youre highly trained, and using your gun is embedded in your muscle memory...youre going to forget how to properly take cover and return fire.

You need A LOT of time behind the trigger before youre able to think clearly in real situations.

They were on the freeway. There's moving cars. THe ppl shooting at in front of him, so he gets out and runs the opposite way.

This aint a movie bro. Also, do you understand most ppl can't shoot? Like people can barely shoot straight at a gun range without practice. So in a situation where you're running or not able to get a good view etc you're not hitting somebody else shooting at you directly in front of you.
