presumably, the national guard is called in because they are better at violence than the police, because the police, theoretically, should be better trained and equipped at non-violent civilian tactics than the national guard. unless you know of some new program the national guard has that is better at fighting crime non-violently than the police that i dont know about, i can't see any other reason other than to increase the deaths of crime suspects by calling such a force in, instead of increasing services that would target sociological issues, for instance...

if this much government violence allows for 750 murders, how much more killing should the national guard do to make a dent in the chicago murder numbers?

As a member of the guard, it's a horrible idea to activate Soldiers to patrol violent areas. They're going to shoot people and it'll be a mess *or* the rules of engagement will be so strict that no one will want to put themselves out there- like current police.

Jay was one of my favorite artists. Forever 23 is an amazing project. It hurts but tbh he put a lot of negative energy in his music. I remember listening to his "debut album" in 2020 & thinking "wow, why is this dude so mad???" He was very dark, angry & violent on most of his songs between 2020 to now. I don't wanna say he brought his death on himself, but you can't be taunting real killers & expect nothing to happen. Nonetheless, another black man gone. Rest in peace.
