She used Jay name to help sell the book, when there was more to the story

And Jay did the right thing to call her ass out on it

Exactly what I said on here when the story came out.

Nobody cares about Eve enough to buy the book, unless she's throwing names out there of people that could get some interest on it. She did that on purpose. Same thing Jada did with all that weird sh*t she was saying about Pac.

You've gotta point. As far as I know did Queen Latifah attach herself to a big name rapper during the early 90s?

La didn't have to because SHE was the big name artist.

During her run, she was the big star. It was reverse back then, where she was the one putting other male artists and acts on because her name held so much weight. So if you got the co-sign from Latifah, you were good to go.

This is not actually what happened. OP and other media outlets zoned in on a fraction of what Eve had in her book and used that for clicks, which is the reason Eve has been on multiple platforms correcting everybody. This thread (and several others) was simply used as another Jay-Z slander tactic. I bet you and several others never actually listened to the Breakfast Club, Sway, nor Hot97 interviews here that has been addressed.

I actually heard the Ebro interview. So nah.

But I know how she is, so even having just the sentence in there and releasing the blurb was intentional. See how we're speaking about it now? Would any of us be speaking about the Eve book if Hov wasn't mentioned? That's the point.

Its so rare for female rappers to keep going once they're in their 30s, especially after having babies. Nicki Minaj is like the only older female rapper I can think of thats not semi retired already.

Eve basically had 3 years, but she was good. She should have kept it going for longer. But yeah you can say this about many female rappers.
