Hip Hop is universal now, it's all commercial now
It's like a circle full of circus clowns up in the circuit now -eminem

Even more so now than when he said it.

I've already mentioned that I fux with some of the new acts so don't get homotional yet. :sadcam:

And this isn't me wanting to hear nikkas take it back to the boom bap era again but goddamn can you nikkas mix in a couple of more sounds besides the default brass section/hihats in FL STUDIO. :rudy:

I take it you haven't been listening to the Life Is Good leaks.

Hip Hop is being revived by Gods Son:boss:

Props to Nas, I'll wait for the official version when it drops and give my opinion. So far what I've heard has been aaaite.

Duuuuuvaaaaal!!
I was listening to some of those 'The Rub: history of hip-hop' collections a couple days ago. Each mix covers the top tracks released during a particular year. I started on 1979 and made my way to the present. Things were on a positively evolving pace up until about 2005ish. That's when shyt started going down hill in a hurry IMO.
Needless to say I've deleted the years 2005-2011.
I hate all that whiney shyt. nikkas sound gay as fukk! I don't know who started that trend, Kanye or Wayne. Sounding like Twan from In Living Color and shyt.

nah, rap is DIFFERENT. you got older and your generation moved out, either you appreciate the music now for what it is, or stick to your collection. It's not going back.

You are correct sir. But that doesn't excuse youngsters from being wack. Age has nothing to do with making good music. I grew up listening to the oldies my parents played and loving them.

Music is supposed to inspire you, not make you wanna stab your brains out with an icepick.:weirdo::weirdo::sitdown:

there are youngsters who ARE inspired by this shyt though :skip: im 21, i know

its just a change of time, and it's pretty much over for alot of people. this shyt released now is the younger generations classics. either you learn to appreciate new hip hop or its pretty much a wrap on new music, thats the dilemma im going thru now.

Speak for yourself. Rap music is awesome right now. The days of everyone being a studio gangster are over. Rappers are focusing on their music instead of their image.
