Crazy, but what you consider the likes of J. Cole, Kendrick, and Drake in this historical mess. None of them used gangs or violence on their image, but they were successful. Why is that?

i put them in the same boat as the rest, its just way to much profanity in their records, i dont think they are moving black culture forward, they only seem progressive compared to the filth and degeneracy that is already around them

These same rappers have a ton of white fans. The average black kid in the hood is not listening these rappers. Go back and look at the responses of the questionnaire. Record have and will be pushed by whites for the foreseeable future in America. That doesn't mean there is no money or social engineering use for the likes of Chief Keef is a bigger star in black Chicago than J. Cole is.

Don't you think that the average black kid in the hood has changed, too? The 00s babies grew up in the age of skateboarding, a black president, Kanye West, etc. I hardly hear that "acting white" label anymore, despite it being around back in the 90s. Outside of a Chief Keef :scusthov: most black kids care more about swag than being a gangsta these days.

it's easy for you to say the black community needs black record labels when the outside forces are doing everything and anything to break them up before they even start.
it's not a coincidence ruthless records, death row records, rocafella, murder inc, no limit were all broken up. all while they had their jewish lawyers supposedly on their side. the entertainment industry just is laid out for black ppl not to succeed. they want them broken up. divided. they want confusion btwn artists and black execs. divide and conquer techniques. jay-z vs dame vs irv gotti vs whoever. they want them all to go against each other. when ya mama told you the devil works with music it's these zionists she was talkin about. black artists can't make it trying to make positive music because they don't want positive music. knowledge is dangerous to them. these zionist cracka devils don't care for the black community. they just want to rape it for the money. and once they had a foot in the door with ruthless records they were in.

the black community is socially engineered to be a failure. and music is just one of the tools to make sure that happens. back in 93 we all gunned for snoop to beat the murder charge because he was one of us. little did we know they saw how powerful the music was and used it to promote all the violence and negativity in our neighborhoods til today.
the white artists don't have to sell drugs or kill people to gain credibility. only black artists. they've engineered it to the point now they don't have to do it.. it's us doing it. look at your bud he's been brainwashed to the point where he doesn't even know what the fuq is going on. take a nicca like him (+ brainwashing himself with gangsta rap + his local school having poor eduction + his neighborhood poorly governed + his parents barely being able to make it+ laws designed to keep ppl like him down) x10 million kids like him and you've socially engineered time bombs all over the united states.

look at all the junk viacom puts on BET. they took BET from robert johnson to use it as a tool to keep the black community down. i dont know how they hell they pull off convincing the robert johnsons, russell simmons to sell their companies.

zionists and jews are one and the same thing because you go at a zionist the jew will cry anti semitic. which makes the innocent hebrew even more dangerous than the zionist. the hebrew can't speak against the zionist.. when have you seen a jew or a hebrew speak out against the zionist? a nicca like glen beck mentioned a fact and said jews killed jesus and they trolled him, called him anti-semitic and got him out of there quick.

jews were part of the entertainment industry from 1900 but they weren't this bad. they were outsiders and america had it's own culture. but today it's just another nontalented jewish or their puppet forced on the ppl on tv on some wack tv show or movie with hebrew and zionist illuminati symbolism... fuq em.

Have you heard of distribution deals? When those labels folded were they not replaced with other rap labels and artists? A lot of labels started using their success as distributors and started signing artist individually which was cheaper in the long run. Back in the 90s, Young Jeezy and 2chainz would have been given their own label and distribution deals. Now Island Def Jam just signs them individually. The major labels choose certain people to push negative garbage over a hot beat and cacs gobble it up because its the new minstrel show. Open up your eyes. After a few decades, the negative aspect of rap is the norm. Trap music is the music of choice in the hood...not Drake or J. Cole. These labels know the exact niches that they are marketing too.

Cuzz...who, really, has "something fresh to say"? Anywhere?

If anything, there's plenty that has been said that needs to be repeated!

We need to bring back the Black Power shyt, before the one-sided gangsta shyt that crippled 2 generations of black folk mentally.

it's too late. right now hiphop partly (together with majorly the bullsh1t laws) is supplying the prison industrial complex business.

it's a gangbang of industries attacking the black community and making money off it as it sinks into extinction...

It's not this...we need balance.

Some would argue that be really on the "Black Power" chit, you have to be "gangsta", to use your terms.
Every rapper is different and feels different ways about different things; to generalize one as just a "gangsta", "trap rapper", "backpacker", or "conscious" is to do a disservice to their art.

All those guys still rap about money, girls, cars, deceit, etc. They don't rap about killing people but they still rape about vapid nonsense.

Some of it is true, but I know that black folk went to jail a hell lot more back in the day when that bang bang shoot en up music was popular and everyone was striving for street cred for negative bullshyt.

GOOD!

those record labels put out a lot of filth...black operated or not..they were negative on the culture.

Just look at the names of the companies. The flagship artists of these folded labels mimicked Jewish and Italian organized crime by taking on their names, and also dressing and behaving like them.
