How many of her top 40’s are hers and not features?

Nicki Minaj has 23 top 40 hits as the lead artist, 32 as a featured artist

Future has 11 top 40 hits as the lead artist, 10 as a featured artist

It's not remotely close

Future is more influential than all them nikkas

No he's not. Drake and Kendrick are more influential than Future. Again, The Booth ONLY considers how many "children" an artist has when discussing influence because its surface level. Influence is far more than having a bunch of artists sound like another. Influence includes elevating the culture/game, making people think differently or change their approach in regard to the genre, inspiring someone to do what they do or do it differently. Influence is the direct result of an artist that has made an impact and when we look at a Drake (who gave Future more than a few assists) or a Kendrick (who had "Alright" blaring at protests, albums that were topics of college discussions, artists copying his album formats and artwork), its all influence.

Nicki Minaj is easily the bigger artist between her and Future, but Future was more important to the 2010-2020 decade than Nicki. Nicki started that decade strong and then dropped off significantly with the second album. Whole thing was a debacle and was saved by a bunch of Pop hits and "Been In The Trap". She almost squandered her comeback with that Malcolm X cover for her single before Pinkprint. She's had hits, but Nicki hasn't really had anything impactful since her debut. "Bu, but she got a lot of females sounding like her". The fact that she's limited to females speaks volumes. The other four artists that are being argued influenced EVERYBODY regardless of gender. Do people put Lauryn, Missy, Kim, Latifah, or Lyte on Mt. Rushmore of rap simply because of what they did for females?

For some strange reason TheColi thinks influential only means "How many artists sound like you", as if that's the only way to have influence. It's weird.

I'd replace Cole with young thug and put future as the last person :yeshrug:

Thug's influence has been profound 2014 onward

Please stop with elevating that trash ass dude to levels he’s not at. Dude spent years switching up gimmicks cause he was constantly flopping, putting out albums them calling them “commercial retail mixtapes” cause they were also flopping, then finally lucked out on some sales due to an excellent Wheezy beat and nice Gunna verse and hook. If you delete him from history nothing of his would be missed. He’s a footnote that y’all parade around like a legend.

You might not like Thug but he has impacted the game influencing big names like Lil Uzi, Lil Baby, and the list goes on. I'm not calling him a legend, I'm just stating facts. A wave of rappers have followed him and you don't have to be a fan of his to be objective and admit that :camby:

Ya’ll REALLY go hard for a man who resorted to wearing a dress on an album cover for a bit of exposure?

What a weird world we live in…

:mjlol: the forced Kendrick agenda in here:mjlol: @ saying Kendrick had more influence than future in the last 10 years

It's not a forced agenda as much as it is fact. After Kendrick dropped good kid, Mad City, you had artists biting the album cover and attempting to sequence their albums like a story a few months after it came out. Jesus Piece and Trouble Man come to mind. Kendrick's GKMC and TPAB became curriculum at universities.

This is your 2nd time quoting me in this thread. Why are you so pressed about MY OPINION? You don't agree, keep it moving then

And wtf does him wearing a dress have to do with anything I said
