It's almost a year later...where we ranking Biden?

I'd say -

Obama
Carter
Clinton
Biden
Bush
Bush II
Reagan
Trump


The thing with Biden is, it's mostly not his fault, he's had the worst luck of any POTUS in recent history -

-Agenda gets blocked due to two corrupt senators in his own party
-Pandemic drags on longer than needed due to stupid antivaxxers
-Putin starts a BS war and fukks up the world economy
-The above along with the pandemic causes massive inflation and sky high gas costs
-Roe v Wade gets overturned on his watch
-Afghanistan withdrawal is a disaster, which again isn't his fault as Trump had already agreed to the timeline


But still, even though none of the above is actually Biden's fault, I still have to put him as the weakest Dem president

He's basically been a lame duck for almost his entire time as president due to Congress. Still putting him above any GOP president on principle.

Obama the only good president. HW more or less harmless. Carter ineffective but had good intentions. He and HW basically a push but put HW above due to a steadier economy. Clinton gets undue credit and not enough blame. Bottom 3 can just shuffle however people see fit. I didnt really mind Trumps strange foreign policy and at least the money was good [even if you credit Obama for it]. We will see if he is as long term destructive as Reagan or W was

i'm not hating. i actually like obama and it's not grudgingly either. i think he was genuinely a great president. i just think history is gonna look at him even more fondly (top tier type shyt) than normal because everyone else around him is so bad. "oh ok so that's the era you working with, bonus points for you."

I mean i never ranked presidents based off of who was around them. Its all about what they did. Obama turned shyt into gold.

I think I posted already but the Afghanistan withdrawal was an intentional FU to Biden. He wanted shyt to blow up when he wasn't in office. Trump planted all kinds of poison pills "reelect me or else". Biden even slid the withdrawal date back 6 months to help try to ease the transition.

There used to be a gentleman's agreement that President's don't set up major policy decisions early in the next President's tenure to give the new guy a chance to get his staff in place. Trump knew what he was doing trying to have the withdrawal happen before Biden's whole team was even confirmed.

Nah the tech boom and low interest rates had the economy growing.

Clinton laid the groundwork for the 2008 Great Recession with his financial deregulation and destroyed jobs for large swaths of population with NAFTA. He was an awful president and his legacy has aged horribly.
