I just don't know how a GM can watch Mahomes and Josh Allen do what they just did in terms of playmaking or see how much clutch genes matter in that SF vs GB game in these Play-offs and not go with Caleb. High-quality QB play has dominated these play-offs.All the bears scenarios I’m seeing has them moving to 2 or 3 so they can take MJH, with them netting next years first
The scenario I don’t see, which is perhaps what I’d do, is trade down even further and get a repeat of last year’s deal, next years first PLUS a player plus two seconds
Bc I don’t think the drop off from MJH to Rome Odunze is that significant to pass up the additional capital (there may not be a drop off at all between MJH and Nabors, but I don’t think he drops far enough). The sweet spot would be Atlanta at #8
Falcons get:
#1 pick, Caleb Williams
Bears get:
Kyle Pitts
#8 pick
2025 1st
2024 2nd
2025 2nd
At 8 Bears take Odunze and if he’s not available trade down and take any number of WRs in the teens (Coleman, Brian Thomas, etc)

Someone who can put dots on the field like this with touch:
Then turn around and vaporize a throw like this, which went as far as that Josh Allen to Stefon Diggs attempt:
I really think you don't overthink things if you're the Bears. Draft Caleb, trade Fields for OL depth imo.
I don't think anyone would hold it against them for taking the generational/borderline generational QB at #1.
Your QB search is done at that point and you can focus on everything else.
