The Blazers are directionless. Like wtf. They're not getting better and it's been 4 years under Billups.
this is exactly why i was saying that billups taking that job was going to get him scapegoated lol

the dame situation was jokes, no one wants to coach ayton, horrible draft one year and stuck with #3 in the other, everyone hurt or waiting to be traded

only difference between him and silas' situation is that he kept the bass in his voice

nope. i dont even think he starts. He comes off the bench. They miss on draft picks outside of Shaedon and im not sold on him tbh. Anfernee and Grant should be gone. And they have a bunch of non-NBA talent on their team. Not to mention the coaching is bad. Again, i think they're directionless because theyre not really hitting on anything. Coaches, players/draft picks, anything
coach WHO :dead:

That's his point though. It's just a bunch of collection of young players who don't seem to be developing under his tenure nor have a sense of direction.

Out of all those young dudes that's been there under his tenure, who actually looks like a keeper or could be a meaningful piece of the future?

It sucks for Billups and Silas how their first coaching jobs ended up, but they should have saw the writing on the wall when there were questions about the whether their best player would be on the roster long term. Even more so with Billups, as he had more leverage to pick a better situation than Silas did.

they're not even there lmao

sharpe played all of 30 games last year. already missed 8 this year. is it really chauncey's fault that duop reath hasn't turned the corner or taken that leap?

simons and grant ain't winning a thing - and that's the GM's entire goal right now. too many black coaches specifically take these "let me just get my foot in the door and work with this star" jobs just to get left holding a long term overhaul project while the front office gets to hide behind them.

portland isn't even having to answer questions as to why they thought keeping robert williams and ayton at the same time was the move yet - but lets talk about chauncey not getting the most out of toumani and deni defensively :dead:

The answer to that question is obvious so there's no need to question the point.

All the points you're making are the exact reason why Billups should have never taken the gig in the first place as everyone knew that Dame was on borrowed time with his remaining tenure there.

Billups could have taken the Cleveland GM gig and ended up in a better situation, so he deserves blame for him being in the current situation as well.

We're not about to make him into a sympathetic figure when he more leverage than other black and first time HC.

You’re reminding me of a poster on here earlier this year who was trying to argue that a coaches job isn’t to develop and maximize the talent on the roster, which is something Billups just isn’t doing :mjlol:

toumara gets 30 minutes a game this year

are we really about to act like that's what literally anyone looks forward - or signs up to develop. for what.

that gm don't even know if he's supposed to be hiding players or showcasing them for a trade :dead: but by all means reminisce about how we agreed billups should've never taken the job while also saying he should be getting more than out of that team

Both things can be true :mjlol:

He should have never taken the job, but by him taking the job his responsibility is to coach and try and develop and maximize the roster as much as possible. If that's a problem, then he should have chose a FO office position.
